Ahio Ahio looked straight in the eyes of the tall fishman and considered the invitation. The man, or fish, had obviously seen something that made him want Ahio but he was unsure of just how much the fishman had seen. It was most likely the fact that the mug had caught on fire the moment Ahio had touched it which gave away his powers. If he had better control of his fruit it wouldn’t have been nearly as obvious, but he may never have received the offer if he hadn’t done it on accident. If the fishman was so willing to offer a position on his ship so quickly, then what happened to his old crew? There were three kinds of people in the town; the people who had given up after going to the Grand Line, the people going to the Grand Line, and those who were going to try again. The fishman didn’t seem like he was going to the Grand Line since he seemingly gave off an aura of strength he hadn’t felt from everybody else. ”If you don’t mind me asking, why exactly are you looking for a crew? You obviously aren’t new enough to the seas to be looking for your first batch but you seem overly willing to invite me and Amelia here after only a few minutes around us. I just want to make sure that you aren’t likely to turn tail and run on us when the going gets hard.” Ahio said rather bluntly. While most people would take his statement as a stab at their pride or honor, Ahio felt that the fishman would take mores as a normal question to ask a man before becoming a member of their crew. It was almost as natural as asking whether or not a loaf of bread was freshly baked or had been sitting around for a few hours. [@Animal] [@Boss Muffin]
