My brother took my car without my permission this morning.

I didn't have work today.

He didn't want to fill up his own car with gas. He carpooled with his friend to the city.

My brother was dropped off and his friend was then driving to a different destination.

His friend then rear ended another car.

They're taking care of it, I guess. If should be fixed within a week. But who knows what my monthly insurance is going to be now. Getting to and from work is going to a hassle for a week. And I planned on going to a Magic pre-release this Friday at midnight. Getting to and from that is going to be the biggest hassle.

His car is a stick and is quite expensive, so driving it isn't an option because I don't drive a stick.

I'm not sure how to feel.

Really? Get your sibling piss drunk one day, long after this is all over and they have paid for EVERYTHING. Bribe a tattoo artist, or be cool with one. Then tattoo "I AM (your name here) BITCH 4EVER". I think it would be funniest as a tramp stamp.

That's a dumb idea. Not only is Awson's bro and his friend taking care of the car, but he took it on a day Awson didn't need it and might have paid the bill [citation needed]

The person Awson should be made at is his bro's friend, but that wouldn't get anyone anywhere and neither would this dumb prank.

He knows I don't like him taking my car. He has a tendency to leave it places or return it with way less gas.

He basically snuck it away from me with the spare key because he didn't want to fill up his tank.

It never would have happened without him taking it in the first place.

I keep my keys nearby in my room. So even if someone tried to take my car I'd hear them enter and I could chew them out.

My vengeance plan:

Step 1: Buy him a beer (or a soda or whatever)

Step 2: Don't just forgive him -- find a way to THANK him for crashing your car (make it up, it doesn't matter)

Step 3: If he ever brings it up again, act as if you can't even remember what he's talking about.

Repeat these steps for all similar offenses.

In 3-5 years you will have enabled his terrible subterfuge on several occasions and reinforced hundreds of terrible habits that will cripple him emotionally and professionally for decades to come. It'll screw with his relationships and ruin his perceptions of normal people, by making it seem like stealing and crashing someone's car is no big deal as long as they're cool like Awson. It's the perfect long con.
