Humphrey's eyes narrowed and he tensed.
[color=fff7ca]"Gettin' pissy won't get you [i]nowhere[/i] here, boy, so calm down a pinch,"[/color] he hissed, his voice uncharacteristically gravelly.

He looked Kyato up and down with his eyes still narrow. He relaxed a bit and said,
[color=fff7ca]"Anyway, this sounds like a pretty special sword! What in all the heavens and earth and the deepest depths of hell would make you think that you'd find a sword 'blessed by Mary' in a little pawn shop in the East Market?"[/color]

It was a fair question, Humphrey thought, and he hoped putting it in this way would deflate the hot-headed man a bit.
