[@WittyWolf] JG saw a restrained flash of anger pass over the man's face; perhaps he had not been aware of it being visible, but she could see the signs. She immediately frowned. Had there been a misunderstanding, or was this man really trying to lull her into the false sense of security she had just fallen out of? She gave him the benefit of the doubt. She was embarrassed again when he started to look for a weapon of his to give her. When he jested of her size she reacted a little late, squinting and sticking her tongue out at him briefly. She was impressed by the number of compartments he had visible and hidden amongst his person and wondered absently whether his size was what allowed him to carry so much. Eventually he pulled out a dagger, and pursed her lips and narrowed her pupils seeing the object of her desires. It was a little bigger than what she would normally have gone for, but still hide-able amongst her person. She could tell he was heartbroken to part with it though, and felt somewhat guilty. The blade and sheath were beautifully crafted, it felt like a crime to tarnish them. "I..thank you..." she said, accepting the blade with both hands and bowing her head respectfully. "I cannot guarantee I can keep it safe, unfortunately. I have a tendency to wake up in places I did not settle in to sleep, with or without my possessions. A curse or a gift, I can't decide." She paused and thought for a second. "Maybe you would loan it to me for the day, until I find a suitable replacement from the market?" she asked tentatively.
