[@AuntFlavia] Reading this I can't help but recommend you should try to get into NRP then, the sort of NRP where there's more narrative weight that simply playing a text-based forum version of Civilization or Risk. The sort of genre of NRP where old-school novel-like writing takes precedent over guns and stuff. That range of writing I find offers a high degree of diversity in what you can do personally. You can write more internally in having upwards of a hundred thousand or a million individuals at your disposal without having to worry about having everything to do with being a force in the "main plot" of the RP itself. So you could write those avante-garde or experimental personalities having a near infinite range of settings, backgrounds, and all that within a good Nation RP. As an example I could point to [@VilageidiotX]'s character Sahle in Precipice of War. He sort of occupies the world of the surreal in an almost accidental bumbling across the world of PoW having being deposed from power in his homeland of Ethiopia and putting himself in a self-imposed exile for his own protection. This is fueled by a lot of LSD and drugs making his adventures almost like the Fear and Loathing of the RP. And of course in this sort of setting you can always have the stoic sort or characters. The commanders who put off an incorruptable, stoic air to them; even if on the surface.
