I somehow totally overlooked the part about this being from modern-day Earth... I may have to rewrite a few minor aspects of Xiu-Xiu's backstory. Probably wouldn't have been allowed to marry a woman or adopt kids when she was younger, and induced pregnancy is right out.

Might have to write a few alien NPCs to provide tech support for her nanite form.
