[@Akayaofthemoon] Haha yeah, for some reason teachers on power trips somehow had to be super over-dramatic about it as well.  "YOU'RE DISRESPECTING ME WHEN YOU FORGET TO BRING A PENCIL TO CLASS!" and "THE BELL DOES NOT DISMISS YOU, I DO!" are a couple of my favorite examples of it.  I wish I'd had the guts to threaten them like you did, probably wouldn't have turned out well though.
