Now that I'm without a fight I feel with a purpose. XD
Fun fact. You are missed in the arena, and we are at 36 weeks.
Ello all,
Jus a quick question for someone who hasn't really been involved with such a style of RP: how does one join the fray?
Something something powerwank.

There is currently quite a bit of flooding outside of my apartment right now, at least 5 inches in some parts.
Yet my manager expects me to walk a mile to the bus station, and then another quarter mile from the bus stop to get to work.
I love reasonable human beings.

Alright, can someone please give me the rundown how this arena business works? Any volunteers wanna run me through a tutorial fight?

Here's a list:
1. Look at the detailed Arena CS, a few good ones would be the vets. They already know what they are doing and have a good grasp of what should be required. Rilla, Skallagrim, MelonHead, Yoshua171, and a few others are considered vets or at least good examples.
2. If you're wanting to join the points race, jiggle the ranking headquarters, if not don't worry about it.
3. Grab a partner, and if you're not use to this style of competitive rping, I suggest requesting a vet to over view the match and possible help you learn. Though not sure how many will be able to help you as there is a tourney going on.
4. A good transgression from pure rp style might be found in the multiverse which will likely pick up over time when the tourney is over.

Many thanks! Another question however - I've noticed there's a scaling system going, in particular, how a character's "power level" is determined. I've poked around and haven't really found any given scale. Any chance I'm over looking it?

It is in the arena FAQ. Basically it is normal human, powered (which encompasses a broad spectrum-fighters haggle powers to roughly even themselves out) and god-like.

I usually just stick to the lower end really of powered though my only arena fighter is human, not counting Jacer who is in the multiverse thread right now. I'm just slowly fleshing out his world bit by as I wait for that to get fleshed out and started.
