Honestly, I see Bane more being one of Bruce's lackies. Bane is, and always has been, hired muscle. different writers give him different schticks, but for this, I think he works better working with, rather than against, Batman.

Also, after reading the other idea's, I was thinking of the Big Daddy Killer Croc. Essentially, rather than being always alone, he found Cassandra Cain when she was living on the streets in Gotham and took her under his wing. He tried to do best for her by trying to get several jobs, but 10 foot tall crocodile men aren't exactly cut out to be financial consultants... So, he did what most others did and fell back on crime, mainly working as hired muscle. He used the money to pay for her to get privately tutored, but soon, she was old enough and stalks him on each of his jobs, using her incredibly ninja training to help him from the shadows, without him even realizing it.

Currently, I was thinking of him working for one of the other characters, like the Mob Boss Selina Kyle that [@Odysseus Moon] proposed. Probably not [@pyroman] and his Riddler, because, well, Croc is street smart, but textbook stupid.
