I mean sure the engine and thrusters were meant for a smaller lighter ship, so they would be a slightly different model, but it will work as a makeshift to get the ship off the ground and to one of the other planets to get some real repairs. He only hoped that he didn't make a fool of himself and compromise himself. There shouldn't have been anything wrong with what he had said though.
