I can only recall one time where any school I went to had a legitimate lockdown, and it was in Middle School.  Supposedly, someone had found an undetonated mortar (or just a shell) or something in their back yard and had notified authorities to have it disposed of, and it was near the school.  Knowing that we were in Middle School, I bet that was some exaggeration on one of the other students' parts.
