Here, have a character. Also, I'm imagining Shdowpine (pronounced shi-to-pin) to be in the north, connected to some land but still surrounded by sea. It snows a lot there and their tundra can be harsh, espesh for peeps not from there. They value wolves as sacred and will kill you if you hunt one of those magnificent beasts. I apologize, I just got a bit into it. Her hair is cropped short and is dyed with whatever color she favors for the month (this time was blue). Her eyes are a dark hazel color, but she's taken to wearing green contacts. She has a number of tattoos around her body. The most noticeable ones are the Fiske family insignia on her left shoulder blade and a tilted written script of the name "Valeska" on her right wrist. Her clothing style is casual, but she can almost always be seen wearing the colors of her kingdom - blue, white, and grey. | Personality | ✯ Loyal ✯ Stubborn ✯ Charismatic The first thing most people noticed about Evie - other than her brightly colored hair - was her bright smile. Unlike the people of cold and desolate Shdowpine, who acted very much like their frozen country, Evie was one to greet people with warmth and affection, traits she had seen and mimicked from the Queen. While manipulation is a trait one must learn in the court, especially in her kingdom, it was one something Evie never liked to use. She would rather give her words with honesty - and more often than not, without a sense of tact. Despite her usually sunny attitude, Evie maintains her respected position by proving to the people that should anyone or anything harm those that she cares for, her wrath was not to be challenged. Under the heavy-handed rule of Reinhold Fiske, Shdowpine acquired wealth for the price of several underhanded and morally unjust transactions. Human trafficking was perhaps the most prevalent in the kingdom's black market, with the King himself watching over the business. Most of the Shdowpinians knew of the noblemen's morally unjust practice, but none ever spoke of it. They were well-fed and well-dressed, and the only prayers they spoke was that none of their loved ones would be targeted by the market next. Evie was one such victim of the trade, but no word of it has ever been spoken. She was only an infant then, perhaps a week old, when men garbed in white cloak emblazoned with a black cross - the mark of the Sacregar, Shdowpine's black market - slew her biological father after they'd been paid by a jealous neighbor. The Sacregar murdered the family, but hadn't expected that there would be an infant in their midst, and their first thought had been to put a bullet through her skull as well. It wasn't until one of them brought up the option that they could sell her had they took her in their arms and brought them back to their base. King Reinhold had been in the Sacregar that night, drowning away his melancholy at the news of his wife's miscarriage. When he saw the child brought in by the Sacregar, he immediately fell in love with the way she smiled brightly at him. He'd taken her and ordered the Sacregar to destroy any remnants of her less than noble parentage. She would be his heir, his darling little girl. He presented the child to his wife, Sylva, and told her that their own had survived. Simply happy to have a child in her arms, Sylve chose to overlook the fact that the child's eyes, a dark hazel, didn't resemble their green. And so Evie grew up as a royal, treated as the King's own flesh and blood. She'd taken to wearing colored contacts - a bright green - in order to hide her heritage. She'd been told it was for her vision, and that she must never remove them unless of sleep or to clean them. Evie never realized that her eyesight was perfect, believing what had been etched so deeply into her mind even as a child. Evie quickly won over the hearts of the people. She would often visit the poorer cities, with her brightly colored hair and bright smile, to simply observe the people. They had taken to preparing sweets in anticipation of her visits, and many young children would run over with their instruments to play music with her. They loved her, and they would always hold a dear place in her heart. Evie was fifteen when the queen bore a son. Even as a child, the people knew that Feliks was horrible. He was spoiled and treated his subjects like their were insects, and the people were glad that age dictated the rightful heir and not gender. But there were those who did not share the people's thoughts. A member of the Sacregar knew of Evie's hatred of their practice and that when she rose to the throne, the Sacregar would be no more. He would not have that. He had been the one who had his gun pointed at the infant's forehead many years ago, and despite the King's orders he had allowed one piece of Evie's heritage to remain - a now filthy baby blanket with the name her biological parents had given her embroidered on the cotton, Valeska. The member of the Sacregar had written the name down on the walls of Evie's room, over and over again. Reinhold ordered the room to be scrubbed clean, thunderous in his fury to find the culprit, but Evie had fallen in love with the name. Reinhold was near faint when the next day, he found the very name he'd worked the servants for hours to remove had now been permanently etched on his daughter's skin.
