Of course, it totally sounded like she was a socially inept fool, but Godelvia was decently proud of herself. For a girl who spent most of her time around animals, which usually didn't speak, talking to other humans was really odd. All of these formalities, and so on. She just really wished there was some kind of book for this. 

Amelia was asking the Roman girl if she had anything that could help scout, so that meant less social interaction for Godelvia. 

Once the left the port, Godelvia finally realized how important her part of the mission was. Not only did she have to care for the lives of 2 other Valkyries, a 'priestess' and a haruspex, but she had a lot of her animals on the boat. She needed those.
