To be fair, it also doesn't matter if you can stop time if you never get the chance. Sneak attacks are your friend.

Plus, Anderson isn't the only one with backstory resources. Rebecca has the group that backs her, Rebe[i]kah[/i] has connections both explicit and implied, and hell even Hat-chan has some wealthy pockets she could call on.

It really isn't all that impossible. Especially when backstory-based resources are a non-issue because a minimum of three characters could call upon similarly arbitrary resources just as easily.
