Update: 05/17/16: Accepting Character Sheets;
Now looking for someone to control House Blackwell, as they are a crucial part to the storyline, if interested please send a PM to @TheDuncanMorgan, myself, or comment in the OOC.

---

The reigning ruler of Formaroth, King John Remonnet has passed away under suspicious circumstances, most whisper it was the cause of poisoning, others say it was natural causes, whatever the case it now leaves the throne open for grabs, as there are no living heirs to the throne to claim it for their own, and continue on the royal lineage. Now any Nation or Individual can now lay claim to the throne of Formaroth, the Battle for the Throne has begun. King John has tried to right the ways of his brother's maniacal reign before him, the empire began to blossom, there was peace to be had, and shared across the land; wealth bloomed, and the other kingdoms that pledged allegiance to the mighty kingdom of the Sypius Plains, where Nyhem, the sprawling citadel that holds sway over the land, worked alongside one another in prosperity. With King John's queen dead three years prior to his own, there is no eligible heir to claim the throne; meaning anyone can stake a claim to the throne.

Each member of a House (the ruler's of the individual kingdoms under Formaroth) are eligible to claim the throne for their own personal use. With fear of an impending war looming now that the King has died, each House has sent a diplomat to Nyhem, for a meeting gathered at Miserth Keep to proclaim their reason as to why they should be the next ruler over Formaroth. With previous conflicts occurring between the Houses, most turn to seedy ways to make sure that their member is the one to lay a stake to throne, even if it means placing a drop of poison in their enemies goblet. Even individual characters, whether they are a captain of Nyhem's Royal Army, a powerful Mage, a Cleric, or a Merchant can lay claim to the throne. However, they can also side with any of the Houses in support; this grants Individual characters the ability to maneuver between Houses, act as spies, or even turn the tides of ongoing events.

Something to Consider Before Joining

This is an Advanced Roleplay, meaning we expect from you to put forth effort, and care into each of your posts. We expect no less than 3 paragraphs from you in each post, we prefer quality over quantity. As this is an Advanced roleplay, we strongly encourage collaborations between you, and fellow players to help minimize dialogue taking up smaller posts. If you need to talk to a character, put it in a collab, it flows smoother, and is easier to be read by other players.

In regards to the Character Sheet, please review the following sheets below for Nation, or for Individual. We expect your character, or Nation to be fully fledged, not a novel, but we need to know the details on your characters. Background information is important, and must consist of at least 5 paragraphs minimum, the more the merrier as they say. As for your character's Appearance, a WRITTEN description is mandatory, especially if you have an Individual Character. We want to know how tall they are, how much they weigh, what does their hair look like, their eye colour, skin tone, body build, what does their voice sound like when they speak? We want to know as much detail as you can possibly provide. Please refrain from Anime type pictures, and use realistic ones if you wish to use a picture.

Grammar is a must, enough for us to understand what you are writing, this is Advanced after all. The same expectations are expected as in any other Advanced roleplay.

Please take a look at the Reference Sheet, there is much information within that can answer any questions you may have, from practiced religion, NPCs, Kingdom Information, various Maps, and other useful information you may find necessary when writing your CS.

By submitting a Character Sheet, be it Individual or a Nation, you hereby adhere to all of RPG Rules, as well as our own. Meaning if we ask you to do something, and you don't, that is grounds for us to remove you from the roleplay.

Me being one of the players can add that the rp has a friendly ooc atmosphere, and some good story beginning to form.

I look forward to seeing some interesting ideas in the ooc.

And this rp world has a strong game of thrones-esque vibe to it. Just need some more people that interact and we can have some really fun political intriguing! Or some battles.
After all, you decide!

I would love to join! Here's my Nation/Family sheet. I have experience with these sort of games from Sufficient Velocity... helpful info ;)

Family House
Family name: Anjervine
Kingdom Location: Windermere
Crest:

Family motto: God and my Right
Relations with other Kingdoms: Good for the most part.
Family reputation: The House of Anjervine is one of the oldest Ruling families and has intermarried with the now dead line of the House of Remonnet often, King Henri is the son of the last marriage (Mother was Remonnet).

The family is known to be one of the wealthiest as it presides over the rich trade that sails along the mighty Vesser, a very wide river that cuts through their lands and connects the Irman sea via a long winding rout to the outer sea.

In current times the House is known for its limitless ambition and there are whispers that before the last King of the Remonnet line died that King Henri secured a promise from him of being the next to rule.

Kingdom's main export goods: timber and food are what the Kingdom has in abundance, it's lands are well fed by the Vesser and the Great Wood of Anjou is full of timber to be cut down and used, there are also a few valuable silver mines that cut into the mountains which signal the end to lands that are under the sway of the Anjervines.

Description of Kingdom: The Kingdom of Windermere and the Summer Isles is well populated and there are many strong holdfasts and towns dotted across Windermere as does the Summer Isles boast many strong seaports. The land is governed by many lords and knights all who claim fealty to the House of Anjervine, there are many lords and knights and the Anjervines can draw from a seemingly inexhaustible pool of ready knights and peasantry for their wars.

The Kingdom of Windermere's main seat of power is Vine, the seat of the Anjervines it stretches along the bank of the Vesser and contains many thousands inside it's double walls. Other major seats are Gwendt, Kowln, and Essern.

Family Background: The House of Anjervine was founded by the third son of the first Remonnet king and they have always been steadfast and loyal supporters to their distant kinsman upon the throne. Often when war threatens the kingdom they are the first to have answered the King's call.

Reason of claim to the throne and family motives:
The House of Anjervine claims the throne via marriage and bloodties. They desire to see themselves on the throne as they see themselves as the only true inheritors of the bloodline and thus they seek it in reality.

@Louis Dabout This is very good, but I will have to ask you to limit the number of windermere's cities to one given it is a bit OP otherwise. Also you may want to cut out the number of people inhabiting the city as I will later email you the stats of your kingdom which includes the total population of your kingdom.

I look forward to hearing back from you. Please PM me your finalised Character sheet when you have finished editing.

The ones I'd be interested in would be Raeldar, Akki, Upper/Lower Glarimon and Thalreth. Just general information would be nice, but do we have to keep the banners or perhaps alter it to my own preference.

@Cold Hands You are free to alter them. They were just the original banners I created. Raeldar has a very cold climate particularly in winter. A bit like medieval northern Britain. Glarimon has a hot climate (very hot in the north) and a rocky terrain. A bit like southern Spain. Thalreth has a very lush green environment and the climate varies from very cold in it's southern region to warm in its northern region. It's also has large amounts of woods and forests. Akki has a warm and humid environment. Good terrain for growing certain food and crops. Large amounts of forest in certain regions.

House Sutharlan of Raeldar

Family Crest:
Two black wolves on a field of white

Family Words:
Sharp as winter winds

Other house Relations:
(To be determined)

Reputation|:
Proud, Ruthless, Natural Leaders, Warriors, Blunt, Rational Competent, Serious, Respected, Feared, Severe hate for inefficiency.

Exports:
Hard Woods/Lumber, Stone, Marble, Granite, Whale Products (Oil, Meat, Etc..), Tin, Furs/Hides, Fishing (Fish, Crab, Oysters, Etc…), Pearls, Iron

[b[Land Description:
Raeldar has a climate that most would make a point to avoid. It’s atmosphere is cold and the winters are even harder. But these winters produce a people that are even harder to endure the bitter cold. Mountains covering the majority of the southern part of the peninsula but scores of pathways are carved through the mountains for mining and whale products exported from the southern seas. While the land is hard it is able for farming while the summer months and early autumn, boundless wildlife and coastal fishing feed half the populace.

While Raeldarian nobles and the Sutharlan’s aren’t considered wealthy and frugal with their money but treat guests with the utmost respect and courtesy. But they’re a proud bunch and when their honor is slighted they consider it extremely distasteful and hold a considerably long grudge.

Crime despite it being a poorer region is at an extreme low. Most likely due to the harsh laws and are punished accordingly. As the proverb goes “An eye for an eye” is taken quite literally. Nobility isn’t even allowed to get away from these set in stone laws, but maybe something lesser like flogging to save face. On the other hand gambling and prostitution run high in population areas, legal and taxed.

Being a cold peninsula the people here are adept at hunting and have designed specialized White Wood bows based of elven bowyers. Claiming to be able to pierce through armor, but since there hasn’t been any major wars/battles there is no claim to this but are known to be highly effective. Sailors from the Ice sea to the uncharted ice laden waters to the south are highly skilled in their labors.

Family Background:
The Sutharlan’s wed into a bastard branch of the royal’s after the initial conquest. Marrying into the Remmonnet’s bastard daughter only after making them play in blood for their conquest of their lands, which is still sung from time to time it taverns. Known to be some of the finest warriors and honor any agreement. They rarely marry out outside of their own territory for what reasons isn’t know, probably to eliminate headaches but they will on occasion.

The men of Sutharlan are known to be tall strong figures, which tend to be intimidating enough. The women of average height but are pale yet beautiful, fertile, with wide hips. Birthing strong children healthy, needless to say marriages with these noble women are sought after for that very purpose. All family members have hair black as ash with shinning near emerald green eyes, giving way to who they are.

Claim to Throne and Motives:
While they haven’t expressed an interest in the throne, they certainly wouldn’t object to it either. If there is any underlying motives, they aren’t privy to the rest of the world.

What I have so far.

OK Cool. I think that is the last Nation slot available as well. Any more than six and it may become quite difficult to manage. Do any kingdoms take your interest?

@TheDuncanMorgan They're a mix. They're proud, honest like the north. Blunt, Just, feared, respected, and natural warriors like Stannis. Also throwing in a bit of Tywin hate of incompetence. If I had to make a comparison.
