She didn’t care about her bloodied hands. Right now all that was important was this man. That fall looked downright nasty for someone his age too. A strange sensation, almost like a dull flu-like headache, washed over her. She gasped, gritted her teeth and tried to hold onto him again. “Can you get up at all?” Unable to bear it though, she did eventually let go, and the pain subsided. She rubbed her temples gingerly. She stared at the fallen man totally unsure what to do next. She wanted to help, but she didn’t think she should touch him. She flopped onto the ground too as she tried to sort out the odd sensations in her body. Was it more mental or was it physical? The only thing she concluded was that she was way too tired to care. “Vida, I think… Vida?” Cal looked up in time to see Vida talking to Josiah. Her eyes narrowed considerably. What was that man thinking? Pulling that nice guy act wasn’t going to fool anyone. He was definitely a jerk through and through. Gods! She tried to get up and go give her hooded friend some backup, but she squashed the idea rather unenthusiastically. Now that the earlier sensation subsided, her own aches and pains came back with a vengeance. She shut her eyes and rubbed her temples some more, but she kept her ears kept in tune to the on-going conversation around her. Sam? Christian? Missing? Her eyes shot open once more. No way! They should find the two of them. There was no telling what else lurked in this town. But first things first, she wanted to make sure Pat was really alright before volunteering to help Jenna. Leaving him there was just cruel. “Hey I errr don’t know how I can help, but I can give you a hand, if you like. That is if you don’t mind me holding you.” She paused. It was a little presumptuous to grab him earlier. Very presumptuous. “Sorry about just now. I feel really bad grabbing you like that.” She added in a very subdued voice.
