Amira recognized Natalia's voice immediately.  Wasting no time, she got right to the point: "Yes, Ma'am.  I just received intelligence of a possible situation in the mall.  The witness reported a, quote 'bunch of kids showing off their powers.'  Multiple sightings confirmed, Ma'am.  Containment might be necessary."

Leo rolled his eyes at the interruption.  And just when they were getting to the good part, too.  Although he couldn't hear what Amira was saying, he knew that if she was involved, it was probably something that required Nat's undivided attention.

He pulled himself up out of the hot spring and grabbed a nearby towel to dry himself off.

Toby managed to leave the mall without drawing any attention to himself, or at least, he thought he did.  When he found a place to sit, he flopped down, covering his face with his hands.  [i]What the Hell just happened?  I should go back and see if Artemis is alright.  But what if I can't control that Thing again...?[/i]  He leaned forward, with his face still in his hands, unsure of what to do next.
