I noticed he seemed almost disappointed that I wasn't some tight ass officer with shiny boots. However he did seem to find my joke hilarious, which made me grin. The tense atmosphere of the room had also greatly decreased, now we can relax and really get to know each other. I was surprised about how he was able to keep the dog." man this guy really does give jack shit about orders, Better keep him as a friend then." I think to myself with a grin."I don't mind one bit, use it all you want." I tell him then listen carefully as he continues to speak. After he finished with his story about how he got the dog I respond to his earlier question. " These bullets scars you see here are the thing that reminds me of my past." I say as I point to a few scars. " Where i came from, Who i fought with and died with. And of course they remind me of the one's i hate the most, The UDK." I take a few moments to catch my breath and then continue. "And the biggest reason of course is that I don't wanna die. Because if i remember correctly getting shot hurts a lot!" I conclude with a smirk. What I said was the truth, the very painful truth. However, the death of my wife and child I left untold, after all that's not the kind of thing I tell just anyone. I then look into my bag to see if i brought it with me. With a grin I pull out a deck of cards and hold them up. " I hope you know how to play?" I ask. I had learned over the years that the best way to connect with someone is over a deck of cards and with a bottle of booze. It's also the best way to practice reading someone, which was a sweet bonus.
