Personality: Rapunzel is a spirited, clever, kind, and adventurous young woman, though a bit naive. However, she is not afraid to stand up for herself or others when the situation calls for bravery. Though she'll stand up for them, she's afraid of trusting other people, and also of betrayal. She has a lot to learn about the world, but she's eager, willing, and ready to learn about everything.
Background: At the young age of three, Rapunzel was kidnapped from her loving parents. She was kept in the attic of an old woman's house, with nothing but made up friends and bugs to keep her company. The woman never let her cut her hair, or do anything really, so it grew to unmanageable lengths. The only thing she really was allowed to do in that attic was sing, and occasionally paint. So she did. By the time she was twelve, she couldn't remember what her parents looked like, and had developed a bit of Stockholm syndrome. Recently the police found her and brought her back to her parents. By then all she could remember of the family was a lullaby that her mother used to sing to her. And that's how she knew it was really her parents who she had been returned to. Quickly her parents realized that she wouldn't be able to readjust without help, so they put her in therapy. Where the first thing her therapist convinced her to do was cut off all of her hair, thus cutting away her old life. Then she was put into Disney Academy, where she could have safe, controlled, environment to start readjusting to life outside an attic.
Hobbies and other information: Her hobbies are singing, painting, and learning. When nervous or overwhelmed, which happens a lot, she sings the lullaby to herself in order to calm herself down. She's incredibly shy of her singing voice and won't openly sing in front of other people.
