Roy sat back and observed the woman, she was unique to him. "It's nice to meet you, I truly hope you enjoy the drink." He says, his southern ancient coming through more than before. After trying to mimic her greeting he held his hand out to her for her to shake it.

Charlie finished chewing then replied. "Almost all are. Yet if you do it right you can become immune to most poisons, or so I've heard." She said then sipped her wine.

She decidedly stuck her tongue out at him, then finished off her drink. "Thank you boys, for being much more thpughtful than that guy." She sniffed, jabbing her thumb at Scout.

The twins took the glass wordlessly, not answering her.

Lucien nodded. "Oh yes. I'm immune to several different ones, but I have a distinct feeling that you wouldn't know any of them. Therefore I can only assume that I would most certainly die if I were to come across one of yours."

Laura stepped back and laughed at the two. They seemed like brothers to her. This Barrett guy was really starting to grow on her. "I'd rescue you but it's just to funny!" She teased.

Charlie shook her head. "I never liked how people assume poison is a woman's weapon. It's insulting honestly. Like a woman couldn't kill any other way." She complained lightly.

"So where are you from?" He asked. He tried his best to ignore the noisy group.

"And what exactly is that supposed to mean? What, you want me to cook for you? Do your laundry? Clean? We don't exactly live in a house where I can do all that stuff, Scout. Except maybe the cooking part..." she said.

"I know many women that kill easily without the use of poison, I assure you." Lucien replied. "I just happen to like using it myself."

" okay dangerous waters,". Barrett said before wriggling free of scout and putting a safe distance between them. "Thanks for the help there Laura."

"Oh, somewhere far and old.". Ethelsen said with a shrug, pushing off her damp good now to get more comfortable. " and where us a warrior such as yourself from?"

Laura giggled and nudged Barrett. "Hey, a big tough guy like you should be able to handle it." She teased him. She began to wonder if she would be able to spend time with him in the future, she was very fond of him.

"It's not that it shouldn't be used, just many resort to it as an easy option." She remarked. Suddenly she realized how much of her guard was down. Silently she cursed herself.

"I'm from Earth, but I've moved all around the place. Where ever work takes me, ya know?" he sighed. Casually he leaned back in his seat and took a drink. "My work isn't always pleasant but I have to take care of those I love." He added.

She sighed. "You're right. I don't listen." She admitted, looking at her empty glass. "I'm sorry. I'll stop blowing you off as long as you start telling me what you want instead of getting mad about it. All right?" Keenan offered.

"True that many use poison as an excuse to be lazy." Lucien agreed. "Though I think it can still be used skillfully."

" about damn time". Sighed Scout, slumping back in his stool. That, as his squad knew, was about the closest he could get to an honest thank you.

"Don't we all?". Ethelsen said in agreement with Roy, before taking another long drink from her cup.

She grinned at him. That was an answer she knew very well. "Hey you two. Is there anyplace I can change? I gotta start sucking up to my man here so he stops being mad faster." She teased.

The two handed her a room key, then pointed to a door across the room on one wall.

"Thanks," she said, then got up to go change.

Charlie had been keenly aware of the other's conversations, listening to them while talking to Lucien. "It has been fun talkin with you. I hope we can do it again sometime." She said standing and walking to his side of the table. "I'm in room number 7 if you wanna visit later." She whispered in his ear then turned and walked away. "I'm going to help you." She stated plainly to Keena.

"I suppose that's true. " He said glancing down at his cup. "Do you know any of them?" He asked and glanced back at the other group.

Laura made a slight pouty face. "Sorry I didn't help you. Please forgive me." She joked.
