We're in Preschool! It's a normal preschool, except for one thing: Imagination! During recess, we change from ordinary preschoolers into great and mighty heroes, whose mission it is to protect the world from the dark powers that threaten to envelope it. (Somewhat inspired by Earthbound/Mother, and...you know, kids.)

Is it real? Is it all in our heads? Is it both? Who knows?

I was thinking that, just for the sake of simplicity, the characters would be allowed to choose one Hero Archetype and they could get a variety of powers and abilities based on that archetype, since, you know, kids tend to change their minds a lot.

Here are some of the Hero Archetypes:
Superhero: Stock super Powers
Mundane: Cops, Doctors, Firemen, etc
Martial Artist: Karate, Ninjitsu, Kung Fu, etc
Fantasy: Knight, Mage, Prince/Princess, etc
Monster: Vampire, Wolfman, Frankenstein, Mummy, etc
Beast Master: Ability to talk to and command animals
Mutant: Humanoid Animals, or Hybrids
If anyone has suggestions for more archetypes, I'm more than willing to hear them!

The only rule regarding characters will be that they can't be "Bad Guys". The players will be fighting the Bad Guys.

When we all go into Imagiland, and have our adventures, we should all collaborate on writing what they were actually doing in reality- a mighty battle between White Knights versus the evil Goblins and Orcs, is them picking up little twigs and falling over onto/thwapping the lawn gnomes, crying to them to die instead of a mighty battlecry, etc.

But then I heard the Might Morphin Power Rangers theme come on my iPod, and it hit me! I'll put the ability to summon giant, mobile robots under the Superhero (Sentai) archetype. Done and done!
