Hello!
I'll paste the plot here:
It's the year 3050 and the world doesn't look much like the world we know today: the big cities have grown over the years and they now purely consist of tall skyscrapers, cubical above cubical filled with small rooms which are inhibited by whole families trying to stay away from the streets as much as possible. The air is polluted with toxic gasses which, to the human race in the year 2000, did not seem harmful at all. Going out there meant risking your health and in the long run possibly lung cancer. Thus human race looked into space travel and seemingly made it a priority for all highly skilled professionals to leave earth and move to this new planet in another galaxy named Phoenix. The common people, with no skill useful to space nor any money for a spaceship, were forced to stay on their sick and dying earth.
Of course, there were plenty of attempts for the common folk to get into space: hijacking small probes from NASA, buying overpriced space-flight tickets to smaller planets close to the new planet or building their own low ranged space ship and hope they would survive the hyper sleep to Phoenix.
The arrival to the new planet Zareth gave the development of the human race an extra boost. The resources found in the core of the planet were superb and science didn't take long to create new prolonged energy sources to upgrade their spaceships. Not long after, the other planets in other galaxies were inhibited by humans, making them spread further and further. But this did not go without consequences: several planets contained resources others did not. Rare and pricey resources wanted from all the corners of the galaxy. The most wanted resource contained a addictive drug called 'The Sphere' where you ought to crush and melt these small sphere-like crystals and inject these into your body with a syringe. People compared it to meth a lot, but these resources were natural and not chemically cooked. The effect lasted longer than a day where people were completely 'off the earth' giving them a heavenly feeling of pure pleasure. They laid still, hardly breathing, not feeling anything happening around them. This drug often gets used for rape, theft and other sorts of criminality. This is one of the main reasons the government want the drug off the charts and destroy the planets that carry them. Bounty hunters get paid large amounts of money to track down collectors of the Sphere and get rid of that awful drug. But many gangs won't let this happen without a fight..
