Everyone everywhere

[tavern wide event]

All of a sudden a heavy vibration similar to that of a low earthquake rumbles throughout the entire tavern! Every surface and wall trembling and shaking, it is accompanied by a deep grinding wailing sound from somewhere below and the expected chinking and chattering of all the bottles, mugs, glasses and cutlery. The odd thud of something falling over interrupts.

The activity lasts a mere 30 seconds, but oh how time can stretch.

Mithias stops in his reading and extends his senses to find out more about what is making that grinding, wailing sound. He lifts an eyebrow. Does it sound more like a dragon or a drill?

Arlen

@Wraithblade6tavern floor

Emerald green eyes had glued themselves to the vampires every movement, while intense, his gaze was subtle.
The sudden and short instability breaking his self restraint.
The deep heavy echo sounded somewhere between giant blocks of stone dragging against each other and the rumble of a giants stomach to Arlen, but it didn't matter what it was aslong as it covered the sound of him snapping free the leg of a barstool.

No sooner had the foundations of the tavern settled, Arlen lept off a table and sailed through the air, make shift stake held overhead, aimed right at the vampires back, element of surprise lost to his fearless battle cry in stilling himself with a frenzied confidence and holy determination.

Cat

[Tavern]

Cat had just slipped in when the shaking started. She palmed a small knife out of habit and had braced herself in the corner. Once the whole thing seemed finished, Cat slowly got herself together and walked to take a seat at the bar.
Willow

[Tavern]

Willow walked calmly into the tavern after having come from her room. She was wearing a long, emerald colored dress that seemed to go down to the floor and then just meld into the floor itself. The dress also had long sleeves that covered Willows hands and her hair was a blond color.
She calmly walked up to the bar and took a seat far from Cat, "What was that?" She asked.

Grier

[Tavern]

Where had they gone this time? Grier wondered and rolled the label of the wine to his line of sight. He hummed in thought. A airid moscato, notes of pear and dark berries. Yet even the smell which lightly soaked through the cork could push away the unending stench of the living dead.

There was another vampire. First, Paisley and then... the blatantly obvious man @Wraithblade6 that Arlen @Dark Light lunged at. Perhaps he'd become a tamed pooch rather than the snarling, nasty beast everyone expected him to be. Rather, he burned with integrity, that same, never-ending intensity. It was fortunate that he was not the 'alpha' of the establishment. There might have been some pack issues, otherwise. Broken tables, the loss of customers due to a fiery, currently muddied temper...

The vested man was glad that he wasn't in control. Still, he looked through the suggestions. He had a lot of work to do in the basement... But that could wait. Most of what was left was petty work. Nothing entirely detrimental to the creation and success of the business.

To go upstairs again or linger below? He stayed in one spot choosing to ignore the commotion below. It was a decision that could sway if someone made contact...

The strange noise began to die down, and thankfully the dishware began to cease clamoring. It was just at that instant, as the relief began to set in that they were not in a disastrous earthquake, that a holy battlecry erupted behind Mithias. The bright and vivid golden-yellow eye of the vampire shot over his shoulder just in time to see a young looking boy warrior with green eyes bearing down on him with all gravity, and a wooden stake. Mithias kicked himself sideways, knocking over his stool and leaving only the wooden table for the furious Aasimar to crash onto. Of course, the assault didn't end there, as the holy warrior pursued him with his makeshift weapon. Mithias couldn't think of what to do, so taken off guard he was, that he initially just parried the first several strikes with his book, backing away down the middle of the barroom. He had two titanium swords at his sides, but he did not reach for them. He couldn't... as if stunned, he just watched and dodged repeatedly. Finally, the stake pierced through the book itself, just over the words that explained everything, "Psy-<hole>-ology, How to -<hole>-come a Pacifist." White clawed hands curled around either side of the book, holding it like a shield. Vampire eyes blinked concernedly from behind it.

Arlen

@Wraithblade6 Tavern

Arlen's frustration grew with every strike that missed, he pressed on mercilessly, each failure only causing him to strike again harder and faster. His momentum came to a sudden grinding halt as his stake became stuck within the many pages of the vampires book. For a second he froze as he had to stop his relentless, thoughtless barrage and think.
His wide green eyes flashed with a hint of fear then vanished behind a sudden and powerful display of blinding bright light. Arlen threw up the distraction, with both hands on his weapon he leapt into the air and sent the heel of each of his feet sailing down as hard as he could, right at the vampires knees.

Oh fuck.

Mithias was blind. His eyes stung and he couldn't see jack of all. Covering his head with his arms, he dropped the book and cowered momentarily. He clenched his teeth, more frustrated with being unable to fight than actually afraid of being killed. All in all, the vampire was highly durable. He could regenerate pretty much anything except if his head was severed or his heart was impaled. He felt the forceful kick to his knees and actually crumbled down, still blind. In that instant, he thought to cry for help, but of course, would this be breaking the rule of pacifism by calling upon another to fight? How far was Mithias willing to take it? "Spare me!" He cried out. Hopefully his hearing and reflexes would handle any more physical attacks. His head was also likely fine, since he didn't see any blades on the boy. Whatever this being wanted, he hoped he'd reconsider.

Arlen

@Wraithblade6 Tavern

Arlen too had tumbled to the floor after his attack, in a flash he was back on his feet fearing the ruthless speed of vampires.
The stake still sat wedged in the book but enough protrudes through to hopefully reach the creatures heart.
A wicked smile took Arlen's face as he noticed the vampire still on the floor and favour was his, with both hands wrapped tightly around the base of the stake, the book acting as a guard, Arlen was ready to deliver the final blow.

'Spare me'... The words momentarily startled Arlen. What wretched trickery was this monster up to? Was he unfed, recently turned or was he just acting so weak.
It didn't matter, vampires were all evil and therefore had to die.

Arlen stepped forward giving momentum to his strike as with both hands he pushed forward from his stomach striking the stake towards the vampires heart.

((If Mithias really wants to be a pacifist maybe now is a good time for someone to intervene?))

@Dark Light Andre quickly stood up which sent his stool clattering to the floor in the process he then quickly walked over where Arlen was attempting to stake the vampire. where Andre proceeded to grab the boy by the scruff of his shirt and proceeded to heft the boy up then toss him in the direction of an unoccupied booth "If yuu hash tuu fightsh sumeune, thahn fightsh sumeune whush guingsh fightsh bahk" he shouted after the boy

Arlen was almost atop the vampire when the solid mug thrown by @Snarfulblast caught him square in the head with a loud 'clonk'.
Arlen's attack now interrupted, before he could gather his senses to follow it through a heavy hand hefted him from the floor and sent him flying into an unoccupied booth.

The book and stake fell from his hands mid flight. The boy, a little dazed and disorientated, sprawled about on the booth chair, rubbed the bruise that had already swollen against his skull as he took in his attacker. "Alright then!" He growls in reply with determination as he climbs out of the booth. "Bring it on then!"
He slips into a ready stance, hands hovering about his chest while his feet slip apart and his knees slightly bend.

@Dark Light Andre bashed his hands together causing electricity to trail across his arms and charged towards Arlen with the intent of tackling him to the ground

Arlen

@Billsomething Tavern

With a quick dive Arlen rolls out the way and avoids the charging brute.
Not wanting to get near that electricity Arlen keeps his distance, skirting around tables and lobbing whatever mugs and cutlery he can get ahold of.

Willow

[Her Room]

Willow had slipped back out shortly later, having a desire to spend more time alone.

Cat

[Tavern]

Cat had sat quietly in her corner as usual. She never spoke to others unless she was quite sure of them or they wanted business. She had a large bag near her hip. She was very protective of it, her arm always hanging loosely near it.

@Dark Light Andre shrugged off the assault of mugs and cutlery as he walked towards the boy by holding his hands up to guard his face, when he was in reach of the boy Andre uppercut the boy sending him into the air, Andre then headbutted Arlen in mid-air sending the younger combatant crashing to the floor.

Having seemingly defeated Arlen, Andre walked away but before he could even take his first step he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his back

The Tavern door creaked open, the hinges asking, rather impolitely, for a tickle of oil. In the door frame stood a tall, slender man in a tattered overcoat that seemed rather large, even for him. No one seemed to notice him, their drinks and company seemingly a far better distraction. This was The Nameless Tavern after all, and he was no one to be noticed. The figure sauntered to a stool near the wall at the bar, he did not take a seat, instead just stood at least for the moment. His long matted and somewhat dreaded hairstyle was piled ever so carelessly on top of his 6'8(206ish cm) frame. This seemed to be due to some sort of style attempt that had long gone wrong and for reasons unknown, at least that's what he always told himself. The beard he wore was as rough as the rest of him, bushy and unkempt hiding a muted facial expression and a chin with a dent so severe some may have thought it was actually a wound, or scar. If only; he was in fact so uninteresting that he could only dream of such fantasy. His cold and tired gaze was kept forward peering under a furrowed brow, his hazel eyes were the only sign of life withing this man.

He stood as if he were suspended in time, not a twitch or a blink. The gentleman seemed unfazed by the action and chaos all around him. His stoic nature continued as he began to lose himself in thought, mesmerized by the wood grain in the bar top.

The aforementioned coat he wore hung upon his frail frame the way a coat just hangs upon the coat and hat rack on which it is placed, lifeless and mostly vacant. It was pilled and patched, made of a felt or tweed, and dark though not for any particular reason other than it had probably never been thoroughly cleaned. The trousers he sported were rather plain as well, a simple dull black, that was now turning gray, similar to the way a mans hair turns gray from age. His clothes all well worn, the boots however seemed new. This was nothing strange except for the fact that they were, in fact new.... He broke from his petrified stance and sat on the rather comfortable wooden stool. Hands gracefully placed on the bar as he stared off into space and time. As the bartender finally met the mans gaze, he pondered for a moment and then, in an almost whisper, which if were spoken any softer would have sounded like a sonic boom simply spoke;

"Name's Marley, whiskey please"

The figure sat patiently and awaited his drink.
