Sorry for the delayed answer!  Huntsmen/Huntresses are warriors that specifically hunt Grimm and safeguard the future of humanity.  They're not military.  As far as how they operate, the series has yet to show a fully-fledged Huntsman that isn't a teacher (like Glynda) or hired hand (like Qrow). And I STRONGLY encourage players to get to know each other.  Not forcing anyone, but from my experience, chemistry between characters (and not just romance, damn it) yield better results when their players communicate.  This is why I left out personality in the template.  You don't know a sweet-heart until you flirt with one, you don't know the pranksters until you catch them in the act, you don't know what hearts to mend until they show it, and you won't know that I'm a closet pervert until you ask me.  Scratch that last part.
