[@Scarifar] I should mention that your character wouldn't be able to assimilate powers unless he was actually in the arena. Like even if he's watching the barriers would be dampening his ability to assimilate powers, so unless he was in the ring with the MIR leader he wouldn't be able to assimilate his powers.
