Über Ethereal
Impact Crater - Bern, Switzerland
The monster had finally talked, something that was to be expected from a 'Level 5'. Taking down everything that challenged him seemed to be his goal, a foolish endeavor considering the intertwining worlds. Apocalypse would then proceed to teleport-killing the Mutons lowered to the level of fodder. Most couldn't really follow the movements which led to a frenzy to plasma shots being released at every direction. The only ones capable of reacting decently were those under the influence of Mind Merge. The über Ethereal itself didn't have any issue following the monster's movements. Eventually, by evaluating the creature's style of killing and movements, the Ethereal could start to predict directions he'd be going in after finishing off a Muton. It'd be after six or seven annihilated soldiers that he'd not only charge toward a merged Muton but also have the Ethereal anticipate with ease where he'd head next. With an simple telepathic command, the Ethereal forced the Muton to simply rotate sideways in that split moment. It couldn't do much but it had the reflex to perform it on time. The area Apocalypse would hit the Muton would be the where the Plasma grenades would be strapped. When the monster would proceed to annihilate the Muton, he would also activate the grenade as if it were a trip mine. The Ethereal didn't expect anything of consequence from this, but it would put to the test his healing factor even more and possibly stop him for a small period of time. By the time the Mindfray had its effect and would make prediction even easier, especially if he relied on brute force and healing most of the time. "You appear misguided. You are lost in a world you do not comprehend and yet still rabidly assault anything you see. Your existence will meet its end quickly without the guidance of The Envisioning One." At this point the Mindfray would make the Ethereal appear as a red blur among the many flames caused by the previous impact and the mist of blood spreading. It could easily take advantage of his lack of precision to simply deliver strike after strike, but it wasn't one to assault mindlessly like the creature, despite clear evidence of sentience.
