Hey all, Xiv here with a spiffy new name and, hopefully, a clean slate...
Name: Sargas Rhal Gender: Male Appearance: Age: Just under 55, though to be honest he stopped keeping track some time ago. Race: ReDead (In life, he was Hylian, and typically uses his magic to appear as he did in life) Skills: Specializes in Rituals and Enchantments, but dabbles in Alchemy from time to time. Magic Abilities: Shadow: Manipulation. He's almost disturbingly skilled at dealing with death and the undead, particularly with calling it forth and commanding it. In short, he's a Necromancer. Weapons: A small, unassuming orb which incidentally is capable of absorbing the souls of fallen foes to be used as fuel for dark magic. It has been appropriately named the Soul Eater. Inventory: An assortment of potions, and a particular mask he almost constantly wears to serve as the source of his human guise. Bio: Rhal was once a respected court wizard. His early life was one of education and luxury, studying the dozens of books in the library of Hyrule Castle itself, their knowledge serving the wizard as his tools for achieving his dreams of success. But it wasn't meant to last. The people Rhal later regarded as a despicable menace appeared in the land of Hyrule, spreading their ridiculous story about a single "God" more powerful than the Goddesses and even the Tri-Force. It was utter nonsense, the wizard believed, and yet the people were foolish enough to buy right into it! Every day more and more people converted to this foolish religion until, soon enough, these so-called Templars were invited into the castle by the king. Rhal tried his best to remind the king of that which had saved the kingdom many times, and that it was no single God that was responsible for it. It was to no avail, and the now disgraced wizard was given an ultimatum. Renounce his ways and revere the new God, or die. With a scoff, Rhal chose death. And so he was executed, beheaded by a Templar Knight whilst the citizens cheered. Here is where his story should have ended, but in reality it was just beginning. For you see, Rhal had been hiding a dark secret. He had in his possession a powerful orb called the Soul Eater, and it was a tool that opened the way for Rhal to learn even darker secrets about magic. Long ago, he had cast a spell on the orb, one that would cause it to absorb his mortal soul should he perish. When it happened, a Stalchild that Rhal commanded was to retrieve Rhal's corpse and use the Orb to reunite his soul and body. It worked, for the most part, but instead of being resurrected, he was instead turned into a ReDead, the frightful undead creatures of legend. Even still, the now undead Rhal vowed to himself that he would one day see the Templars slain, especially the self-righteous pig who had Rhal executed... Brother Thallus.
