Dante Giordano
No sooner had another boy proffered his hand in greeting, did Dante find himself called out by the teacher in charge of the whole system. With an apologetic smile for the boy, Dante quickly followed after the instructor, graciously accepting the paper slips. A quick glance revealed their magical nature, likely mildly powerful earth magic if he had to hazard a guess, but he wasn’t as familiar with understanding magic of an eastern persuasion. Still, the principles did remind of one of his spells. Now it was just a question of why the instructor had handed him those slips to begin with. This question was answered in the instructor’s next few words. So he wants me to copy him and is giving me the set up materials to make it easier. Sounds easy enough. Wait…. How does he even know….. Martin… God damnit! That damn Excalibur Obsessed Brit! But frustrations with one’s mentors would have to wait, for now Dante had been assigned a task, and it was one he intended to perform with due diligence. Perhaps if he did well, he'd have the opportunity to nap during a few of the less intriguing classes. Not to mention he had the added benefit of another student hogging the spotlight, which meant he could easily slip beneath the notice of others and focus on his own research. Watching closely, Dante's eyes took in every detail of his teacher's casting, it immediately became apparent that his first assumption of an mid level earth spell was correct. In addition it was definitely an eastern spell, although once more it did remind him of his spell of Jewish persuasions. The concept of magic's interconnectedness was intriguing to say the least, not to mention opened up the possibility for so quite a few interesting copies. But for now, his job was simply to copy. Stretching out his own hand in perfect imitation of the instructor, Dante's finger threw out the slips of paper as his lips gave the chant. "Come, you who are beholden to the land. I call upon your aid in this time of need, waking you from your slumber so your steps may shake the earth. Serve my will!" With the same level of fanfare, a new giant took it's place next to the instructor's. "So, what's next?"
