[@Vigfast] I do feel like noting that one [b]can[/b] write a super powered, magically fueled death machine and [u]still[/u] have an interesting character. It becomes less about what they can do and who they are as people. My mind naturally goes to Superman.

[b]Edit:[/b] However I do agree most people have issues with making Mary Sues as it were when writing powerful characters.
