I live on the other side of the planet and the sun is still up, sorry. :P

@GM: By the way, when will your sheet be done?

It will be done when it's done.

What do you need to know, I'm sure I could tell you?

@Willy Vereb Can I take a look at the scientific qualities of Mithril again?

@Voltus_Ventus:
#1: What political position does your nation take concerning the geopolitical blocs starting to form (Moravia bloc, PRK bloc, Colonial bloc)
#2: What does your empire think of Ceresia?
#3: What is the situation with your colonies, particularly the ones next to mine? How do they interact with my colonies?
#4: What is the environment like in your colony in the south of the main continent next to mine? (The one near Hael)
#5: What is your nations military focus (Infantry swarms, armour, blue navy, subs, fixed aircraft, airships, etc?)

@Willy Vereb: I thought up a plotline that we can do together in IC. I will send you a PM concerning it.

1: Though Ventium sees the formation of these blocks as a concern to the international power balance, it won't really pick a side until it is a necessity that it must; it may have colonies but it doesn't consider itself part of this "bloc".

2: Well, Having such a diffused empire as it is, naval power will be important to defend trade routes and to maintain the sovereignty of its possessions. So if assume close cooperation would be important as many of my colonies are most easily accessed by passing through the waters you inhabit.

3: All the smaller colonies are dominion states of Ventium, having achieved self governance but still having The Ventian Sovereign as their legal head of state, foreign affairs for dominions tend to be communicated through Ventium but they of course have a say.

4: Most of my colonies/dominions are tropical/Savannah, due to their proximity to the equator, being coastal and warms sea currents, producing higher humidity and thus tropical forests on the coasts and dry grassland in the interiors. Though the big colony to the east is mostly jungle, always muggy and humid.

5: Well, my military will be focused on speed, shock and mobility.

@Willy Vereb Can I take a look at the scientific qualities of Mithril again?
How detailed you want m Mithril scientific details, again?
If you don't wish people to look up every third word of my explanation in Wikipedia I have a short description of it.

Mithral is basically Titanium but weaker and lighter (~ 2.5 g/cm^3, comparable to aluminium). Actually it' almost like aluminium in properties except more flexible and it has cracking resistance just like steel and titanium. Also like Titanium the Mithral is immune to corrosion.
Mithril is a compound/alloy mix with hundreds of different types. They generally contain random CNT elements by smelting the metal with a certain plant and performing other measures. The result is a light (2.3-2.4 g/cm^3) metal with properties close to steel.
Mithril basically replaces steel in Yllendthyr. It's light while steel-strong which gives certain engineering advantages but the mithril is somewhat more expensive to produce and more importantly it warps and deforms easier than steel which for example requires firearms in Yllendthyr to operate on lower pressures. This is why I have bigger weapon calibers. Lighter projectiles are also often not that preferable for penetrating armors. Copper may work for bullets but useless for shells and other weapons thus that requires either expensive tungsten or similar means to be competitive. Which means true armor-piercing shells are relatively rare in Yllendthyr.

I can give you more details but I think this should be sufficient for comparison.
Anyways, why now? Also I think I described mithril in my profile, too.

It's fine, because I was looking for your specs so I could make Elektrum not too similar.

BTW, speaking of naval wang measuring contests, Yllendthyr is also supposed to have sizeable naval force.
Previously I planned to perhaps scale it back because air routes would take over their role as primary transport but with there being an underwater empire I just can't ignore my navy.
Granted, Yllendthr's naval concept is quite different compared to what most nations have.
For example my submarines are relatively small and cheap because Yllendthyr just doesn't feel these vehicles could be important for serious anti-warship warfare. Instead they're raiders and submarine hunters.
My navy in general prefers smaller and faster ships as well as giving as many of them as possible the capacity to launch aircraft.

NEW MAP!

I wanted to get this done tonight so I climbed out of bed and forced myself to fix things, of note i edited a few wonky borders into something more coherent and less confusing, Clock also got a bit more of wellow because one part where our claims met before was giving me a headache due to it looking like an island at a glance when it was land so I had to take a bit of his land there to fix the problem. Hope that's ok clock.

In any case, map.

@Hael

I don't disapprove of where KalMea is placed at all. That being said, I am quite worried about it. I already have Moravia above me, which I know will declare war on me, and now I have a nation of "heathen-smashers" next to me.

On another note, the current placement of KalMea has possibly turned my nation's history and diplomatic relations upside down. During the medieval period, Zenovia reached its territorial height under Carol the Conqueror, conquering what inevitable would be at least most of your territory. However, like the empires of Alexander and Genghis in our world, it didn't last long. Assuming all that is still possible, it would mean that KalMea would have probably felt sour for quite a while. Hopefully KalMea is as pragmatic as you made them sound.

Haha, in the original RP, half of KalMea had been conquered in medieval times by Cyclone's nation.
If that's what needs to happen again, it's fine.
PM me, and we can sort out the details.

In all fairness Serp's "colonial" bloc is mostly wishful thinking until they cobble it together. Even if Yllendthyr and Ceresia ally, they wouldn't yet be in the same class as me and Cyclone.

I have a proposal to eliminate some empty space and redistribute territory marginally, so I'd like to see if everyone agrees.

The rationale being that no one will want tiny fragments of territory between the PRK and Moravia or between Moravia and Zenovia, and I also gave some more land to the Vinculi and acquired a colonial possession which is basically going to be a puppet state.

Like I said in the history collab, I have plans for those two pockets between me. If (who are we kidding, when ) the world war erupts, the one between me and Zenovia would be like a Belgium.

The one between me and Yllendthyr will become important pretty quickly.

I also don't want my already big nation to be even bigger, if only for balance reasons. I'd say the same for giving the PRK that big colony, but it doesn't make much sense to have that much empty land next to Ventium, so I can get behind that move of yours.

That's a fair point, as long as you're not the only one controlling their actions. I'll keep the border changes of me and the Vinculi.

Having multiple people controlling those nations seems bad at the same time seems bad. If any of you want to volunteer when it comes time, feel free to take control of the Belgium one.

I'll go ahead and spill the beans by saying that the Commonwealth is going to invade the one between it and Yllendthyr. I may as well just control that nation because they stand next to no chance, especially since the Commonwealth will attempt to solicit Yllendthyr into aiding with the invasion by attacking from the other side.

If you take issue with me controlling both sides of a war, I'd point out that this is less unbalanced than me simply getting the land for free like you proposed, and that the sudden annexation of yet another country is meant to be a plot device to potentially spark international outrage. It's been something like 15 or 20 years since the Commonwealth took more land, after all.
