1: Though Ventium sees the formation of these blocks as a concern to the international power balance, it won't really pick a side until it is a necessity that it must; it may have colonies but it doesn't consider itself part of this "bloc".

2: Well, Having such a diffused empire as it is, naval power will be important to defend trade routes and to maintain the sovereignty of its possessions. So if assume close cooperation would be important as many of my colonies are most easily accessed by passing through the waters you inhabit.

3: All the smaller colonies are dominion states of Ventium, having achieved self governance but still having The Ventian Sovereign as their legal head of state, foreign affairs for dominions tend to be communicated through Ventium but they of course have a say.

4: Most of my colonies/dominions are tropical/Savannah, due to their proximity to the equator, being coastal and warms sea currents, producing higher humidity and thus tropical forests on the coasts and dry grassland in the interiors. Though the big colony to the east is mostly jungle, always muggy and humid.

5: Well, my military will be focused on speed, shock and mobility.

@Serpentine88 Is this what you needed to know?

Righty, I have added more stuff to my culture, demographics, relations, government and species information. Included is essentially Not!Shariah Law to piss off the birds, crazy insanity and the Gnomish civil war, which is essentially a combination of Ireland and Palestine.

I will now begin thinking about and preparing to write my first IC post.

Nice.

Though I'd like to have you know that I advocate Shariah, naturally as a Muslim I would, though I hold different views on different concepts. Also I'd like to have you know that the Juzia, the religious tax you referred to was an administrative thing as opposed to religious.

@Voltus_Ventus I am mostly using an exaggerated form to piss off the atheistic Avalian Great Republic (And not an attack on a real religion mind you! I figure that would be made obvious by the fact that I've basically merged elements of Babylonian, Egyptian, Shinto, Zoroastrian, Islamic and Christian fundamentalism into one)

I also noticed you put Ventium as Politically compatible.

@Voltus_Ventus The political compatibility is mostly relative to the communist, democratic and fascist trio. My nation see's any monarchist colonial power as more compatible when up against them.

Well my nation is fairly socialist as far as other kingdoms go, mandatory education, free healthcare, high minimum wage and government job assurance, it's almost a communist kingdom, just remove the religion.

@Voltus_Ventus Hmmm... Though your nation is also apparently conservative and religious. My nation is more concerned about this part than the socialist part. (That is to say, my nation is not ultra-capitalist, its ultra-conservative)

I also don't think you are aligned with either Avalia or the PRK, so at the very least that makes us neutral. Though perhaps I should remove political compatibility to just true neutrality.

I thought not all Muslims supported Shariah law. No intent on starting an argument, just looking for clarification.

Oooh. I forgot to do my nation relations thing. A project for tomorrow when I finish classes.

This honestly sounds more social democratic than communist to me.

Hey! I've decided that I’d like to join this RP; when suddenly I had a great nation idea. I will be a backwards Mesopotamian styled civilization with a race resembling Egyptian gods (humans with animal heads, thinking mostly along the lines of birds). I'd be technologically backwards, a civilization centred around mighty inland rivers and ziggurat constructions, and the only high-tech weapons I have are those that have been gifted to me by other players (or those that will be imposed on me when they want to colonize these mostly arid lands). Probably ruled by Pharaoh and the location on the map would be... The central landlocked whitespot on the eastern continent, west of Oured Bay.

That cool?

I believe @Cyclone may have plans with it but I think it's nothing you cannot discuss between each other.

That continent is supposed to be like this world's Europe, with the most advanced and global nations there. The other continent would probably be better suited for you, since it would explain how your nation hasn't had its land conquered by one of the nearby powers and having an ocean between you and the giant, industrialized countries would be a good buffer zone.

Far be it from me to stop you though. I had plans like Willy said for the spot between Yllendthyr and Moravia, but the one between Zenovia and Moravia could be taken. My only real objection is that your nation would feel out of place there, as I said in the paragraph above.

I think you two might be mistaken, Grijs was indeed referring to the "Africa" Continent, that being the Eastern Continent.

Uhhh... I think he IS talking about the colonial Africa/New World continent.

Oured Bay is on the Africa continent where all our colonies are, Unless that is an industrialized Europe-esque continent too...?
