What's Britain's status in this game at the moment? Are they being played? I saw an IC post as Britain quite some time ago but nothing since. I've not really been able to keep up with the OOC thread so there might be something going on there I'm not privy to. I'd be interested in playing Britain if they're available.

It was being manned by Shyri/Feokris, but he had to drop out for reasons I believe. I don't know if he intends to return.

But the general direction Britain was going was rebuilding its old Empire by retaking South Africa.

This'll give you a very basic idea of what is taken and what isn't. By 'Strict Canon', I mean that is an area that has been everybody else's bitch for so long that we couldn't really make any changes to accommodate you there, so if you wanted to take it you'd have to take it as it is. And the 'Maybe taken' stuff is places that are up in the air. Some of it, like Hugs' Germany and Veo's Persia, are more grandfathered into that person's name than truly taken, so you'd have to ask them about it.

And of course, this map is crazy rough. The borders are actually quite different.

Haha, yeah, I realize it makes me a bit of a dick to say it. But truthfully, there are only about a dozen countries in PoW that are worth a damn. Most of which are taken. We can't just let inactive people sit on important countries and not do anything with them.

A herculean task, no doubt. The "it can be surmised he is likely insane" on Jaret Arnold's page was a particular favourite.

Let somebody else go ahead and take over Britain. Like I've said in the past, it deserves somebody who will actually post for it. I'm not nearly active enough to fulfill the spot Britain can have in Precipice. So if somebody wants to take it, and actually make it good, I have no problem. With my activity level, I should be posting as, like, Iceland or something. Definitely not Britain.

So... Go ahead @Morden Man, Britain deserves better. :P

I mean, I love Precipice, but I'm just not active enough anymore, especially to keep up with an important country. I'd much rather give it up, and enjoy reading the posts with somebody who can keep up with it. Rather than sit on the country, and progress it's story once every half a year, if that. So... Yeah. Go ahead, and give Britain it's place in the story that I couldn't. I look forward to reading it. :P

Well, I'd call that a green light then.

As a matter of canon, Shyri's plotline mostly stuck within Britain itself, so really the only sticking point is the South African invasion. But even that, aside from a few dialogue bits among the rest of us, hasn't entered the general story yet.

So I'd say, pending Googer and Aaron's opinions, that you can do pretty much whatever with Britain so long as it makes sense. Only rule is the general "WW1 sucked and Britain wasn't geopolitically relevant for a while" rule that we tend to apply to most European countries so as to keep things consistent.
