That's kind of how media works, or in this case Anime/Manga/Video Games. Sometimes the (mostly thinly-veiled) copycats are the ones getting all the cred while the originals are the one that get all the shit stomped on them. I mean, take a look at all the goddamn Pokemon ripoffs now, especially on the goddamn Appstore. It's true that they can change ways, bend it a little to make it look original, but in the truth it's just what it is; a copy of something original. It's like stealing the Mona Lisa, changing her dress to a pair of jeans and a jacket, making her blonde and adding make-up and saying it's a [i]'completely new'[/i] painting of your girlfriend.
