New York, the most active city in the US. Night life, clubs, restaruants. You name it, New York probably has it and more. Behind the scenes, however, is another story. On the surface, New York looks to be a relatively normal city ran by relatively normal people. In reality you couldn't be more wrong. The near entirety of New York is controlled by a shady underworld consiting of three crime orginizations. One, The Blackbloods, consists of a coven of vampires. They run the night clubs, of course, amongst other things. Silver Moon, the werewolves, head up the drug racket in most of the city. And lastly, 'The Mix', a gang of filthy halfbreed hybrids hated by the other two families. They run the strip clubs and the minority of the drug racket. Mostly, the families tend to stick to their own. Occassionally a hit would be made, but that's normal. Recently, members of all three families have began turning up murdered at a rapid pace. It was quite clear someone was trying to start a war, and it was on the brink of happening. Each family blamed each other, each family wanted the other dead. To some, it just didn't add up. If one of the families was trying to start a war, why were all three sides dying out Will war begin, or will the true culprit be found? --- For clarification, yes, this thread is heavily based on The Feud of Families thread. However, due to something coming up for the GM, the thread has been reduced to a slow crawl. I'd really like to continue this idea at a slightly faster pace. --- Second time attempting this, this time with people interested! Yay. [@Talipaendrag] [@FallenTrinity] [@stickman] [@VolenVradica] --- Details/Weaknesses/What-have-you:
Strengths: Vampires are, of course, naturally better than most humans in the aspect of well..everything. Speed, strength, intelligence, etc. No, vampires cannot lift buildings and 18 wheelers and use them as blunt weapons, they could however easily toss a car given enough age. Vampires are stronger the more they age, as are their powers. The amount of blood they consume and how long it has been since they have done so also takes an immediate effect on their regeneration and strength. Vampires house a number of mostly psychic abilities, no one is certain exactly how or why, they just do. Most develop over time and takes hundreds of years to master. Vampires do not get contract disease, at all. Hierachy: Vampires generally follow a more traditional mob hierachy, if they are a member of one, of course. Outside of mafia life, the eldest vampires are generally more respected and followed first, with the youngest generally not listened to at all. This isn't to say that the eldest vampires word is law, far from it, it is just generally respected. Weaknesses: Vampires are weak to silver, the wounds take far longer time to heal and most must be healed by feeding rather than waiting. Sunlight is little more than an annoyance to vampires, it hurts their eyes at most. Decapatation is fatal, stabbing them in the chest does little more than incapacitate them. Cutting them in half also does the trick. Vampires CAN bleed out, though obviously they'd have to be heavily wounded to bleed out from external wounds. It won't kill them out-right, however. They slip into a coma where-in if not killed or given blood to re-cuperate, they die within three days. Garlic does nothing to a vampire, nor does a cross, they'll simply laugh at you. Holy water causes moderate to severe burns depending on the age of the vampire and the amount used.

Strengths: Werewolves are generally much, much stronger than vampires. They're also generally slower than your average vampire. Much akin to a vampire, their strength lies with age. Much like vampires, werewolves also house a number of psychic abilities, their strength and control also better with age. Werewolves are not undead, they are simply /very/ hard to kill. They are not immune to disease, they are however heavily resistant to it. Hierachy: Werewolves, aligned with the Silver Moon or not, follow a more tribal system. Elders are to respected and followed unless there is no other option but to not follow them. Failure to do so makes you an out-cast unless you have a very good reason to do so or are strong enough to challenge the elders. Weaknesses: Silver is out-right toxic to werewolves, enough of it will kill them. It renders them sick no matter the amount, increasing amounts range from nausea up to and including death. Wounds from silver take quiet some time to recover from depending on severity. Werewolves are not immortal, they are just significantly harder to kill than humans. Human wounds CAN prove lethal I.E pierced lung. Decapitation and being torn in half can, of course, kill them. Wolfsbane nullifies a werewolves powers on both the psychic and physical level, weakening them more and more the longer they are exposed to it.
--- Rules: 1.
