Adam

Adam took the bag, peeking inside. Pralines. Adam smiled, and before he could say thank you Dan spoke.
"If I can I would like to help you with whatever problem my soulmate has. If you wish to tell me that is. Either way we can do whatever you have imagined today. I was waiting for a long while to meet you."
Adam looked down, shying away. Did he really want to get his soul mate involved with the drama that was his alter-ego? Either way, Will would show up at one point or another. Adam felt like he needed to be honest with his soulmate, but he was hesitant. Even if Dan was his soul mate it didn't exactly mean he would be accepting.

Adam forced a small chuckle, that was quite awkward. "Uh, thanks for the pralines by the way. B-But I didn't really have anything planned today. I just felt terrible for abandoning you. Twice. And, uh, y-yeah. I admit to avoiding you the first time. S-Sorry. As for the, uh, problem there's nothing that can really be done about it." Adam was looking down and shuffling his feet. He quite liked the smell that the rain was already creating. It was then that he noticed that Dan was sharing his umbrella with him, and the smile that had faded earlier returned once more.

Danilo silently tried to ensure the first smile he got out his soulmate would be forever engraved in his mind. It made him nearly not care about the rain at all.
He carefully listened to the other respond, making a face at being reminded that he was abandon twice. Not a thought he wish to cling onto. He watched as Adam in a shy like gesture looked down reminding him of a first year school boy, it was adorable. With his free hand he reached for Adams chin and raised it to meet his own grinning face.
''There must be one rule, dont hide you smile...or tears from me or anything in between. ''Danilo chuckled, knowing if this was a play he would be kissing Adam. Instead he let go.There were too many thing he wasnt aware of his soulmate. Did he already love someone? Or did he like the color red? Or hugging in front of a fireplace?Time to change that. Shifting the umbrella a bit and moving closer to ensure he himself dont get wet, he tapped his cheek with one finger thinking.

''Well if you do not have things planned shall I offer something for us to do? I am positive you are as curious about me as I am about you. Hm.... my chat room friends warned me that showing you where I live on the first meeting is bad...but technically this is the third time we meet so that would be fine...Yes, no da? Or maybe you would rather I show you one of my favorite cafes. We could then question each other about anything. What do you think?'' He looked at Adam with his head tilted. It was a few moments later when Danilo snapped his fingers and pulled a business card, with his name and place where he worked while on the back a phone number was scribbled in red ink. The dragon silently offered it to Adam to take it.

”You wish I was,” Tholo quipped with a laugh, ”Go ahead, bathroom is across the hall.” he answered. Trixy nodded and ducked her way out of the room, leaving Bartholomew to his thoughts. The bathroom was easy enough to find. Trixy peeked her head in before walking in fully and closing the door behind her. The style was rather modern, much like the rest of the house, and the shower was one of those walk-in varieties, without a tub. Trixy could appreciate the look and ease of it but, being the old french vampire she was, she loved a good bath now and then, so a claw foot tub was a must in her own places.

Béatrix slipped the leather jacket off and managed to shimmy out of the tight skinny jeans. Thankfully, only her tanktop was hopelessly covered in blood. Trixy peeled the wet thin fabric from her skin and attempted to rinse the shirt out in the sink. The water ran from red, to pink, and then finally clear, but the shirt itself was still stained beyond repair. ”Merde!” she said under her breath before flinging the garment into the litte waste basket by the sink.

The water turned on with a sharp hiss and steam prompty billowed through the opening of the shower door as Trixy stepped in. The wound in her chest had closed up and the blood rinsed away easy enough. The water pressure was nice, but the product situation was kind of sparse. Being a man, Tholo had some combination shampoo-conditioner-bodywash, and that was it. Trixy eye the bottle suspiciously before venturing to open the cap and sniff it. The scent was sharp and musky – masculine, but suprisingly pleasant. Béatrix scrubbed down quickly.

Trixy turned off the water and gingerly stepped out of the shower. The nude reflection that stared back at her from the mirror above the sink was more familiar. Clean, free of make-up, and naturally beautiful. Trixy hopped her way back into the jeans and clipped her lacey blue bra back on. Her shirt might be ruined, but she still had her leather jacket, which had two buttons on the lower half, but a plunging neckline. It would be revealing, but she’d paraded her body around in worse things, and anything goes on the streets of NYC these days. Beatrix was debating whether or not to actually button it, and then she remembered that Tholo was probably still waltzing around shirtless and thought: Well, two can certainly play that game, what’s the worse that could—”

And then it hit her, that name. Trixy’s ability, being the curse and blessing that it was, had cropped up. Sometimes, when a person was thinking about something, or someone, and if Trixy was nearby and in tune enough to catch it, she could read their mind, so to speak. Mostly it was just a word or two, or simple images that crept into her own mental awareness. In that moment, she wasn’t sure if she heard it in her head, or with her own ears. But she definitely heard it.

”Francis.”

It was Tholo’s voice, no denying it. Béatrix gripped the edge of the porcelain sink and glared into the mirror before she angrily stormed out of the bathroom. Trixy followed his scent down the stairs and towards the kitchen. She strode forward, murder written in the shine of her eyes. He apparently had put on a shirt, which Trixy took two fistfuls of as she shoved Tholo violently against the refridgerator.

”You tell me why that name is on your lips, now.” Béatrix growled frong behind her fangs. Her mind was racing. How old was he? She hadn’t asked, but she knew he was old enough... It could have been him. What if it was? Behind the mask of rage and ferocity, tears welled up in her eyes. No, the fates were cruel to her, but they couldn’t be this cruel. She couldn’t be paired with the wolf who murdered the love of her life. ”You tell me!” she slammed her balled up fists against him, the exclamation was choked up with emotion, but intimidating still.

In the kitchen, Tholo was obvious to the storm that was apparently coming his way from upstairs. He was just finishing the coffee when a whiff of the familiar scent of his shampoo that only he normally used he gave a smirk and began to turn around only to be greet with raged filled eyes and being slammed against his refrigerator. It seemed any hope that for once he was going to have a good day was over.

”You tell me why that name is on your lips, now.”, the vampire in front of him fumed. He growled back at her irritated by the sudden aggression.

"Damn it woman. First you save me now you are trying to kill me or something," he growled removing her hands from his shirt. He looked once more into her eyes and was somewhat shocked at what he saw. Of course there was the expected rage that he saw before the sudden attack but now there was a hint of tears in Trixy's eyes. He had no idea why but rather then say some sharp tongued comeback, he decided to at least give her an answer, at least he could do that for saving him, even if he was mad for the sudden attack by her.

"What name? Francis? It's not like it's an uncommon name and how the hell did you hear me from the bathroom? Never mind probably some vampire thing I don't want to know about," he mumbled, fixing his shirt and then looking at her ",If you must so know who Francis is, he was the only other vampire besides who who didn't feel the need to cut my head off on sight or pump me with silver. It was several centuries back." By now the coffee was brewing and he got himself a cup continuing his story so as to not have to worry about Trixy trying to attack him again.

"I was lamenting my guilt with bars at the time due to the past events of mine and he so happened to find me. We probably would of fought to kill each other but he needed someone to get close to a couple of werewolf packs and I needed a means of redemption and pay which he had. So a deal was struck under tense situation. I kicked the habit of drinking to help him and for several months I aided him in what he wanted, even helping with the removal of a few of your 'bad' vampires. No questions asked. We were just acquaintances and I use that loosely. He gave me a job I did it, got payed." He took a sip of his coffee turning and facing Trixy again.

"Last I saw him I gave him some information on both packs, I got payed at that was that," he continued ",I waited around to see if he wanted help from an animal again but he never came back so I assumed my use was over. I packed up and left. Eventually leading to life here in the new world. I don't know why you are so curious but that was that. My guess is probably he has some high seat in France still, guy had a rather silver tongue."

He waited to see Trixy's reaction to his tale. He couldn't of known what happened to Francis. Wasn't like he cared at the time but seeing Trixy's reaction made him wonder. Was he some old flame of hers or something like the other bloodsucker at the cafe he won't name? Friend? He couldn't tell but now curiosity had it's greedy claws in him so he had to ask putting the now empty cup down.

"Why so curious about Francis?" he asked, the anger before dispersing for the time being.

Tholo returned her fury with a growl and removed her hands from his shirt. Béatrix let him lower her clenched fists, but she remained in place, her chin tilted up to keep her gaze steady with his. She was shorter than him, but if this came to a fight for dominance, beast versus beast, she would stand her ground as she always had. But he didn’t fight, something that he saw in her eyes caused him to soften as much as the old wolf could. He told her a story about the Francis that he knew. It sounded just like him…

Tholo went to get a cup of coffee as he continued his tale. It wasn’t just a tale, though, it was the truth. A good deal of Trixy’s job involved knowing when she was being lied to, and Tholo wasn’t lying. Eventually, Trixy softened as well, even going as far as to seat herself at the dining table with a cup of coffee of her own. Once finished speaking, Tholo waited to gauge her reaction. Trixy ran her thumb along the table, trying to think of what to say, when he his voice crept into her mind again. Did he have to think so loud? And she wasn’t happy with what he was thinking.

“Francis était pas une passade, vous con!” her anger flared, but she kept her temper under control this time. Slipping into her native tongue caused her accent to thicken, even in her upcoming english words. Béatrix released a deep sigh before flexing her fingers towards the palm of her right hand, just inches from the tattoo that said it all. “Francis was… my sire. He saved my life, and he stole my heart. Hell, some days I think he has it still. I was dying of plague when he embraced me. You might think of us vampires as cursed, but you are wrong, it is a blessing, a second chance.” Trixy paused and studied the wolf’s face.

“This Francis, your Francis. He had fair, curly hair, no?” Tholo nodded a yes. “I would offer a last name to compare, but he existed before the need for surnames, as his sire was a daughter of Caine himself. And yes, he was going to hold a high seat in France, a seat that I will someday hold. But… you never heard from him again for a reason. He died in the summer of 1486. A werewolf came into our home during the day and clawed out his heart.” Béatrix met his gaze and turned over her wrist before looking down at the faded, crossed out name that paled in comparison to Bartholomew’s mark. Trixy closed her eyes, mostly to concentrate on not getting emotional. “I’m sorry, I thought that you…” she paused, and opened her eyes again. “There’s a reason they called me Madame Vengeance, and Wolfsbane, I was not a scourge on your kind without reason. But, over five centuries have come and gone, and I am trying to put that life behind me now. “

It was shocking that she had revealed so much to this stranger, and a wolf none-the-less. Perhaps stranger wasn’t quite the right word, as she had worn his name on her wrist for nearly 530 years, albeit hidden away beneath black lace. That fact alone made this conversation all the more disturbing, and confusing. Talking about how the love of her life died with the future love--. No, no… he wasn’t that.

Adam

As Danilo lifted Adam's chin up so that Adam was looking directly into Dan's face, he could feel his face heat up. He found himself becoming quite flustered.
He's actually quite cute..., Adam thought to himself. He tried to shake of the feeling that was rising in him, but he knew it was too late. He was falling in love with his new soul mate.
Adam nodded, agreeing that he would no longer hide his feelings from Danilo. But...William..., he found himself thinking. Let that be a problem for later.
"I think I would love to go to some cafe now," Adam found himself saying, before taking some business card that Dan was offering him. It looked at it. Some hotel, as chief confectioner. No wonder he'd given him pralines.
As Adam flipped it, he found a phone number. No doubt it belonged to Danilo. Adam slipped it into his back pocket, before offering his arm to Dan and awaited to be led to the cafe. @TalijaKey

“Francis était pas une passade, vous con!”

He knew very little French but he knew that by the way she said it, there was an insult somewhere aimed at him why she said it he had no idea but at least hell wasn't in her eyes anymore. Then came the unexpected answer, the reason why she had been so agitated with him knowing the name Francis. He could of never guessed, Francis and him were nothing more then tools to one each other though he did remember a meeting with a slight slip of the tongue where he said he had to return before his beloved worried. He cringed slightly at the mention that being a vampire was a second chance. It wasn't something he normally thought about it but he accepted what she said and slightly pondered if in that type of situation would he of chosen a life of immortality, if he would of become the creature he was during that moment still.

"Oh well....," he started working his way out of his bewilderment before he switched back to being agitated but this time more with himself then Trixy ",FUCK! I told him to be careful with that shit!" the coffee cup he had been using shattered against the wall after he had thrown it. Another death to add to his conscious that was what it added to him.

He calmed himself quickly clearing his throat."I had no idea. Like I said we were loosely associates. Hell maybe tools to one another disposable," his said doubting he really could say anything to try and comfort her. As Trixy looked at her arm that shared his brightly colored name with the faded crossed out one of Francis's, he looked at his own.

His attention returned to Trixy when she gave him apology that horrified even himself. It clicked together even more now why she had been near tears with her fury filled eyes."You thought it could of been me who tore his heart out of his chest," he said. If that had been the case he would have to say the fate's were pretty cruel for such a thing ",I won't deny I had an extreme hatred toward your kind due to one of your taking my beloved Chloe away." He stopped for a brief pause. When had mentioning his first love pained him so much? He kept going though finally sitting down in the chair next to Trixy ",I wouldn't do that, not after Gévaudan." He looked down at the floor with guilt at the mention of the old village. In their first meeting he had gloated about what he was but that was a lie, he just wanted to scare her, get her away from him. He hated himself more then anything for what happened he lost control of the beast within and create what he had become.

Changing his line of thought to something else an idea formed in his head and he lifted his gaze back to Trixy."You know, I could call in a few favors," he said ",To find the one who killed Francis. I know a few older wolves lets call them that who could do some digging around if this warg ever moved his turf to the new world." He wasn't sure how his future love --- whoa Tholo stop right there ixnay on the ovelay ---, he meant Trixy, would react. He still had his stigma for vampires but murder was murder be it human, were, or vampire even if it happened centuries ago.

*Abel sits on a bar stool it was a tad bit early for drinking but he didn't really care his cowboy hat tilted just right to hide some of his face and he chugs at his beer his shirt today is a light grey somehow making his cobalt blue eyes brighter... that is they would be if they were visible. by the way he is sitting it is clear that he would prefer not to be noticed but of course like any other bad day he is noticed by some guy who seems to know that Abel is in fact Bi.*
Guy: "Yo queer boy... "
*Abel tenses a low growl coming forth from his throat*
*The guys friends are laughing somewhat and the guy standing decides to speak again*
Guy: "What you got something in your throat there queer boy?"
*Abel stands and within seconds strides over to the guy and grabs him by the shirt dragging him outside snarling the entire time he then throws the guy to the ground hard and storms away luckily he had already payed for the beer so he didn't have to go back in there. Being so angry he doesn't even notice the rain falling onto his hat or soaking his shirt until it sticks to him he's too focused on trying to calm down*

"I think I would love to go to some cafe now," Danilo gave a half bow at the request, more than glad to be getting out the rain.
Yes he was on cloud nine when he took Adam under the hand and started leading them to the cafe with the best sundaes around. He walked in happy comfortable silence holding back from skipping around. Instead the happy dragon was focusing his mind on how the two looked walking together under a umbrella. They must have giving out the vibe of a couple. His grin spread even more. The place wasnt as busy as the last days, maybe because of the rain? He didnt mind, he spin around to make a bow and declare ''Behold my Adam.'' he tipped his hat as if he was on the stage.
''This cafe is known for its sweets.'' He stood upright allowing the rain to fall on him as he left the umbrella in Adams hands.
''This was as well the first place I work in once I moved to this city, it was...'' He stepped backwards, his whole attention on Adam so it wasnt much of a surprise that he bumped into a man. His hat fall of his head and landing in a small pooudle.
''Ah forgive me, sir.'' He said to the angry looking man, the dragons nose picked that the man was a were something, but he wasnt too sure what...and he much more cared about his wet hat on the street.

*Abel having been bumped into grunt and starts snarling. He catches that this guy is a dragon and with his soul mate so trying not to be too horrible he bends down and picks up the hat still snarling as he hands the now soaked top hat back to its owner. He seems to not notice that he is soaking wet and that his shirt is clinging to him like a second skin rendering it practically useless. Even with all the annoyance and the snarling his cobalt blue eyes betray a sense of vulnerability. A sense that even though he is snarling he isn't as aggressive as he seems. He decides to speak his southern accent coming though somewhat after he swallows the snarls* "Its fine... I wasn't paying any more attention then you were"

Perhaps a bit unintentional, Béatrix had managed to make the wolf feel confused and awkward. Hell, she had saved his life and then tried to kill him all in one day, she couldn’t blame him for feeling that way. After she told her story, he seemed bewildered, and even frustrated with Francis for his dangerous choices, and then he realized why she had gotten angry.

”You thought it could have been me who tore his heart out of his chest,” Tholo said as it all clicked to place in his mind. Trixy simply looked down, staring into the cup of black coffee as if it had all of the answers in the universe. ”I won’t deny I had an extreme hatred toward your kind due to one of yours taking my beloved Chloe away.” Tholo paused for a moment, with a look of pain on his face. ”I wouldn’t do that, not after Gévaudan.” He continued and then proceeded to stare at the floor guiltily.

“We all have our ghosts.” Béatrix said before reaching her hand out and placing it on top of his comfortingly. Whether it was the shock of what she had just done, or the unfamiliar burning warmth of his skin, Trixy flinched her hand back to its place on the table beside her coffee cup. Maybe he didn’t notice.

Bartholomew’s next offer shocked her even more. Trixy’s eyes widened a little. “You would help me kill one of your own, just for the sake of my own closure?” she asked incredulously. But, he seemed genuinely serious about it. Béatrix couldn’t quite tell how she felt about that… After all these years, she was probably as close to finding her late husband and sire’s murderer as she’d ever been, and yet, she didn’t jump on the opportunity. Maybe she had already achieved closure? Or maybe the legion of ghosts from her past haunted her too much to wrap someone else into a life that she was trying so hard to leave behind.

“Thank you. Maybe someday, Bartholomew, but not today. You wanted to have a tension free day, remember?” she flashed him a brilliant smile before calmly sipping the hot coffee. “Hmm, not bad, for an Englishman, that is.”

While he had lamented his grief of his past, he felt Trixy's hand on top of his, only briefly before she pulled it back. It had been different then he expected. He always assumed a vampire would just be cold to the touch. Her touch did not have the warmth of a living body, that was true, but it wasn't as cold as he expected, there still was some warmth or perhaps his mind was merely playing tricks with him. He looked up at her when she sounded baffled by his offer.

"I'll protect innocent beings but one who did a crime and gets away with no punishment doesn't deserve freedom," he said. Granted it sounded a bit like the pot calling the kettle black but he knew he had punishments waiting for him when he died. He tried to redeem himself and all he can hope that when the time comes it will be enough to lessen some of the burden."What they are doesn't matter, human, vampire, wolf, demon, or whatever the guilty deserve punishment, or a chance of redemption if they are seen able enough to achieve such a feat."

He waited for an answer and eventually got it. He gave a slight smile back at her."Well the offer will remain open," he said and gave a slight chuckle ",I've been wanting a tension free day for some time, I appreciate the thought but judging my luck it will never be this easy to get such a day."

"So you vampires still can taste everyday food," he said after she drank the coffee ",Plus a compliment from a Frenchy, I'll take what I can get." He wouldn't deny the fact he always did wonder if a vampire could taste anything besides blood or how meals worked if they were paired with a human or something back when the world knew nothing about them.

Amena yawned softly as she opened her eyes. Usually she would look around, get dressed, and head out to work; but she didn't have to do that anymore. She was on vacation technically. Besides, she wanted to let Alexey's appearance digest. Her mind flashed to last night, how they talked for hours, how they exchanged numbers to text the next morning. This morning rather...

She hopped out of bed and looked over at the window, a soft smile appearing. She knew she would be doing some spellwork today and that made her extremely happy. Working on her abilities and making potions were her favorite things to do when she felt particularly witchy for lack of a better term. She threw the covers off as she heard a knock on the door. Amena walked over and opened the door to see her friend, Dawn, and Jesse standing in front of the door. She grinned at both of them and Dawn smirked, saying "so... the witch is back eh?"

Dawn, being a witch and a member of Amena's coven, could feel that she was going to be doing something wicked tonight. Amena knew that otherwise she wouldn't be here. She hugged Dawn and Jesse excitedly and said "watch out world, The Terrible Three are back in action." They giggled like children about to eat a cookie from the cookie jar before stepping into the bedroom and closing the door to talk more about it.

Alexey was feeling optimistic- very much so, that he had to refrain from skipping or somesuch. His soulmate! And his dastardly illegal friend was the one that got it all to work out! But would it not be Fate that made it work out, not his friend, since there wasn't a single way his soulmate would've been all the way by the Bean? But Fate is Fate, and he supposed Fate would've found a way.

And at this moment, he was just a bit more satisfied with his life than he usually was. He made his way home, unbothered by the emptiness and lack of decor of his rooms, and fell right in bed- surprisingly exhausted, and found himself asleep in moments.

The next morning found Alexey laying in bed, slowly coming to consciousness- before his eyes snapping open. Irish lady! Amena! Soulmate!

He paused, though. What of it? He wasn't going to spend every moment of the day with her... He told himself this, as he pulled out his phone, flipped to the newest number in his depressingly empty contacts, and sent a cheery good morning message.

Then he went to go take a shower and get cleaned up.

Trixy set the mug down softly and listened to him explain his thoughts on crime. She couldn’t help but smile. “You sound like you’d be a good fit for the NYPD’s supernatural division, should I put in a good word with the boss for you?” she asked with a raised brow. Right, the boss, she realized she should text Carl and let him know that she dusted The Rogue. So, she pulled out her phone and did just that.

“So you vampires still can taste everyday food, plus a compliment from a Frenchy, I’ll take what I can get.” Bartholomew’s voice brought her attention back to him. “Yes, I can still taste everything. I might be dead, but I still have a tongue.” She smirked. “But, we don’t eat. Solid food makes us sick, so it’s liquids only.” She’d thought that a vampire hunter such as himself might know more about his favored enemy.

“So, tell me. What kind of wolf keeps a pair of silver blades on display in his home, with nothing more than a piece of glass to secure them?” She wondered if he had a death wish, heaven knows she did in that first century after losing Francis, but after a few failed attempts, the urge had passed. Béatrix sat back in the chair and crossed her legs, causing her jacket to splay open and reveal a toned, pale midriff and her bra. Had she been human, she’d probably be cold with her wet hair and skimpy outfit, but she wasn’t. The pleasant scent of Tholo’s shampoo still clung to her tresses, and it was peaceful. For the first time in ages, something about this moment felt incredibly… right.

Adam

Adam gave a small giggle as he was left with the umbrella in his hands, and Danilo tipped his hat to him. ''Behold my Adam.'' Adam gave a slight red hue off of his cheeks when the friendly dragon said this.
Adam stifled a gasp when Dan bumped into a man behind him, and his hat fell into a puddle. Just as Adam was going to pick it up, the man did so instead. Yet, the hat was still wet.
"Its fine... I wasn't paying any more attention then you were," the man said, with some sort of southern accent.
Adam, awkwardly standing there with no idea of what to do but hold the umbrella, shuffled his feet and mumbled some form of apology. Although the words were most likely not audible, it was audible he was apologizing. He was quite shy when it came to these types of situations. Man, if this had happened to him....
You'd be so embarrassed, and then I'd have to take control.
But it didn't happen to me, so you don't, Adam reassured Will, a concerned look on his face when he was replying to his alter-ego.

Dan accepted his hat, and looked at the were once more. He saw the other awaiting the worst or along the lines. He knew those eyes and even the slightly body posture spoke volumes about it all. It took to get to know him before he saw the relaxing about his dragon self. Pouting as he placed the hat under his arm, he answered calmly. ''No worries I will not bite off your head.'' He would have smiled, making it more of a joke, but...the rain was getting his hair wet more than he liked, and his jacket started to feel heavy from the wetness especially his shoulders. A wet fire dragon is not a happy dragon.

Dan placed a hand on the were shoulder. '' If you ever in need for a date place, go to the luxury hotel ''Four seasons'', and say Danilo send you. You are getting the best table. Thats my apology and now I want to get dry, excuse me. Come Adam.'' Danilo called to his lov-..wait soulmate, they didnt even kiss yet. He was jumping the gun again. Danilo pushed by the were and entered the cafe a lot more pleased feeling the hot air filled with sugar and coffee. Pulling off his slightly wet jacket off he slipped into a boot by the window. With a smile offering Adam to sit down as well.

''So Adam, I am curious do you have a last name? Or tell me what kind of magical being are you? You are one, arent you? I saw your reaction on my red scales.'' Dan started light heatedly, awaiting for someone to come and take their order. He hoped Mia worked, so he could show off his soulmate to her and her friend. That would be nice.

*Abel blinks then gets pushed past. he sighs and finally realizes he is soaked. He groans then walks off. He didn't want to go home just yet but he wanted to do something. He ends up in the library. As he walks in he peels of his shirt and tosses it in the trash and hold his wet hat. With a small smile he starts walking through the aisles.*

Amena heard her phone let out a small ding, a sign that someone texted her. She let go of the girls and, without realizing or caring, she ran to her phone to see that Alexey texted her a very welcoming good morning text. She smiled softly and sent a quick good morning! Hope you had a good evening! reply. Dawn gave Jess a questioning expression and Jess reciprocated with "she met her soulmate last night" and a knowing wink.

Amena rolled her eyes as Dawn said exaggeratedly "oh! She found him did she? Well, well, well, little miss Love Boat over there might not be up for some wicked fun tonight!" Amena stood from her seat and smirked, saying "it's not wicked without me." Dawn and Jess laughed.

Now wearing a pair of sweatpants and rubbing a towel to dry his hair, Alexey stepped out of the bathroom. He didn't immediately head for his phone; instead, he walked over to the TV, and flicked it on to the first news channel showing the weather. Listening absently as he went about his routine of making a peanut butter and jelly toasted sandwich, plus fruit cup and an apple, he sat down on his couch to enjoy it, towel forgotten on his head.

Then he remembered his phone, and Amena, and bolted for it.

About twenty six seconds later, he already had a reply written and sent- I did indeed, Amena. Two questions, to know for today's schedule: did you sleep well? And shall we meet up later today?
