The opposing army was indeed powerful, somehow being able to drive the first waves of incoming minions back a small bit. However, those were just foot soldiers, the simple goombas and koopas. Yet in the second waves, those same units would be armed with what they've always dreamed... guns. Laser guns! Provided to them by the Space Pirates, an ally of Bowser, the koopas would begin to open fire on the marines with heavy blasters and the goombas, equipped with "turrets" on their heads, also began to fire upon the units. Some of those minions also placed several well-placed homing bullet bill turrets, as they fire and pelt the units below, causing a good deal of damage. Some even fired on the other skyscrapers that were on the opposing team's side, giving them a taste of their own medicine as they would fall on some of the dreadnoughts.

The airships also happened to be under attack, with some already on the verge of destruction. However, the ultron units came to their aid and fired behind the marines, giving a surprise attack as they rid of the pesky vermin onboard. Even the koopas had blasters and would quickly fire upon them before their deaths. The airships that had not been affected then began to fire their cannons on the troops below, causing large explosions in their wake. 

The kaiju warriors came to the battlefield next and began to blaze the battlefield with their own fire. The flamethrowers would suffer as they'd realize that they're no match for this powerful units as they began to get decimated one by one. They even began to fire several volleys of their own fire from their hands as they then target the terminators, 5 in particular battling the bus-wielding one. They were far from dumb, as they swiftly avoid his swipes and come straight at him from all angles and begin to set him aflame before turning on the others.

The hulkbuster units also see the dreadnaughts as threats as they began to take to the air, dodging their fire as they grab several dark angels and skid them across the ground and throw them into other units. They then began to fire volleys of plasma teams at the units, ripping through their armor like butter. The Sachiel units would destroy the faces and gore them with their lances hidden in their hands. Some even used eye beams on their opponents, using a massive range to take out good chunks of them. Even as some missiles began to fire upon them, they had a secret hidden defense mechanism. Their AT-Field, a shield powerful enough to stop even the mighty adamantium missiles. Even as they self-destruct, the field was able to protect them as they continue slaughtering the rest of the troops.

And those eggs from earlier? As a pair of missiles hit their shells, all they revealed was the monstrosity that they revealed. From the depths of the Mushroom Universe, arise a pair of Dino Piranhas! One was green, and the other was red. As they roar of their intro, they began to run towards the units. They were incredibly durable, able to withstand several missile and blaster attacks, as the red one fires fireballs at the units, causing a large explosion upon impact. The green one just kept on running, even stopping suddenly to swing its massive clubbed tail around with surprising range. Both of their tails were very flexible, able to reach up to 15 meters at maximum range.

Missiles race towards Ghidorah-San, but were ultimately destroyed by her gravity beams emmited from her fingers. Satsuki effortlessly slices through several terminators. And Ultron blasts the dark angels with his repulser beams. Nova's men had underestimated their attack units... and now they're just seeing how wrong they really were...
