I don't think it's about her being gritty. He specifically said that this roleplay isn't particularly gritty. I see his point and completely agree, if I were being honest. Not that my opinion matters; but I guess there's strength in numbers.

It's about the roleplay feeling cohesive. Cartoon-based powers just seem a little whimsical for this roleplay, and Light would stick out like a sore thumb. Have you considered perhaps applying with a different character? You're clearly a creative person, it's just that it didn't pay off with that sheet. Get back on the horse, my friend.
