Sean rubbed the back of his neck as he walked, thinking to himself about all he had learned and all he had seen. Maybe he could make things right with her, he didn't know, he wanted to try. Though he wondered if he could ever get used to the idea of what she was in any form even if she became human for him. She had been on this earth far longer than he had, come from a different place, thought differently and so much more. She had pleaded with him that they could at least try, that he had been the one to open the door and let things blossom between them. He had made every move, pushed forward with every step then he just cut her off like it was no different than changing his shoes and expected her to be okay with it. She had been a Seraphim, shouldn't she just forgive and forget and let it go? He kept telling himself that as he made his way home and fell face first into his bed, drifting off slowly as he continually tried to convince himself that what he had done wasn't that bad and she was okay.
