The mighty Bowser shot down, his full weight and force driving down his spiked shell into this mysterious abomination. And yet, even as he impacted with the opponent, he could tell something was wrong. Apocalypse didn't budge an inch, and the spikes on Bowser's shell had simply bounced off the armoured ceramic plating that covered it's skin. A single sweeping strike hit the side of Bowser's face at supersonic speed, laucnhing him into the air. His body hit the side of a skyscraper, flung through a series of offices before emerging from the other side, and crashing into the next. He flew through 3 buildings, before finally crashing into the ground about 700 meters away. Had it not been for his incredibly sturdy build and shell, he would have been instantly annihilated by the punch. As it was, he could feel that many of his bones had been shattered, and cracks had appeared on his previously nigh-indestructible shell.

Apocalypse's strength, like his speed, had increased by approximately 20%. Even before, his physical capabilities were beyond the scope of many of the fighters currently in this universe. Now, he was nigh unstoppable. And as he slowly moved closer to the ground, and Starkiller exerted ever more energy to hold him up, it was clear that this was not a battle that could be won. It seemed Starkiller was facing the one opponent he could not defeat. Of course, that's when.....
