Jason turned to look at Jack and laughed when he asked why kill a poor jellyfish. This kid was pretty funny to him and he wondered if Jack was as chill as he was.

"It would have died for a noble cause. Either way you should have seen what I did to some dolphin hunters a few months back, I tossed a giant stinging jellyfish at them and let's just say that it was a very painful lesson for them" Jason said with a chuckle. That's when he heard someone calling for help and Jason caught a few words, but he did hear the mention of a 'seizing girl' and that got him to into action.

"Sounds like trouble" he said to Jack and start to run towards the exit to cafeteria. Jason maneuvered his way through several students and came to where S'tann and Kieran were standing over Kyle. He also noticed Tanya as well and then his eyes fell upon the blonde girl who was having a seizure. Jason didn't know a think about this kid's powers, but he had to guess that it had something to do with causing some dangerous kind of effect to the brain or body.

"We need to get her medical attention fast! One of you call 911!" he shouted and then looked at S'tann as he watched him cure the girl of her seizures, so much for running out here and leaving his meal behind. Then after that the martian decided to get make threats against the boy who looked very frightened and in a state of horrible regret. S'tann as usual seemed to jump the gun.

"You two do something useful and stop fighting! You two can kill each other later! Right now let's keep this boy from being scared for his life!" he yelled at them with a lot of frustration. Of all the times to get into ridiculous banter, now was probably the worst thus far. I'm surrounded by children, he thought to himself frustrated to be caught up in this drama-queen high school and not be back home relaxing in the sun.

Richard watched the situation unfold with an ever spreading smile across his face. Fake Fen seemed to only grow more and more livid as time passed, until the situation climaxed "Fen" screamed, then abruptly killed himself. His jaw dropped as the husk laid dormant on the ground, only for it to rise up and reveal itself to be the Half Martian dickhead known has S'tann, just as Richard predicted. The Manhunter then proceeded to make his exit, and as he did Richard felt a slight tingle on his shoulder, telling him that S'tann had tried to read his mind. He gave a chuckle, and was thankful that the beast was leaving them.

Richard's ears flicked backwards as a newcomer joined them, commenting on S'tann's sour mood. He gave a laugh, and nodded," He's just a jerk, you get used to it." He told Jason only for him to make his way away. "Man, people aren't sticking around at all today, are they?" He noted, and glanced around him, only to realized it was just him, Fen, and Jack now. He did not at all like the idea of being left alone with Fen, so he took a deliberate step towards Jack.

"So, what are you guys planning on doing for Halloween?" He asked, trying to strike up conversation," Either of you going to the dance?" He questioned," I'm probably gonna lock myself in my dorm all night." He said only half jokingly," Magic can be especially strong on The Day of The Dead, you know?" He said, and glanced back to the Mess Hall line, and flicked his wrist, causing an apple to fly towards him, and into his hand. He took a bite and chewed, waiting for a response.

Freddie Blackwell
&
Mari Grayson

"You say simple needs, I say base desires." Mari cooed back at Freddie as he batted his eyes playfully towards her. "I mean, I'm not judging you, but I'm totally judging you." Mari added as she pulled her headphones out. "Were that Dam...Robin." Mari paused correcting herself, "I probably would have fuckin' creamed myself on the chair."

"Miss Grayson!" The voice of Stephanie Brown scolded from the front of the room. "Language!"

"Won't happen again Miss Brown!" Mari shot back in her best school girl impression.

"Like I haven't heard that before." Muttered Stephanie as she turned back to her lesson plan.

"Come now, you saucy minx," Came Freddie's voice as Mari turned her attention back to the conversation at hand. "Spill!" He insisted referring to last night's escapades. No doubt that Freddie like Tanya believed the previous night involved somesort of drunken debauchary and fornication.

"Well, I snuck off campus." Mari began, glacing towards the front of the class to see if there was any sort of reaction from Miss Brown. Reassured the teacher was no longer listening Mari continued. "I heard about this tavern along the docks, and a damn fine Atlantean senior was there, offered to buy me a drink. So me being me I told him if he could drink me under the table I'd buy him a fuckin' drink." She paused for a second, gathering her thoughts through the pounding headache that resulted from the aftermath of the story unfolding.

"We started with beer before moving onto rum and it got worse from there as we ended up taking shots of fuckin' tequila until neither of us were able to stand." Rubbing her forward Mari continued her story. "So it's about three in the morning and we're trying to walk back to campus, barely able to stand the fuck up with both of using the other for support. I swear to X'Hal it had to be quite the sight to see. The damn half-breed and a fishman trying to get back to campus so sauced it'd make a pasta blush." Running a hand through her violet hair, Mari pushed her hood off before she continued her long winded tale.

"So we make it back to campus and I get it together just long enough to fly the both of us into his dorm. We collapse on the couch and next thing I know his shirt is off and we're swapping spit like it's nobody's business. I swear I felt his tongue in my fuckin' chest Freddie." Mari paused as she made a disgusted face. "Anyways, his pants start coming off and next thing I know his 'dorsal fin' is in my face. Well I punch him in the fish eggs and dropped him to the ground. Next thing I know I'm scrambling back out the window and hitting the ground. Spent the rest of the night sleeping on the spire of the Admin building. Still no fuckin' idea how I manged to get my drunk ass up there though." Mari finished with a small giggle before gently massaging her temples as she looked at Freddie's face half expecting a lecture once his jaw closed.

Freddie simply sat for a moment, his mouth agape but the corners of his lips consistently turned up in bemusement. It was highly amusing to him that someone of Royal blood such as her, not to mention a teacher's daughter, could be so... Not bad, no... Free. And he loved every bit of it. Of course, it wasn't the first shocking escapade she'd told him of, and he had no doubt that there would be many more to come that would outdo this one. That was part of the wonder of being friends with Mariand'r; she was utterly unpredictable.

As he closed his mouth and adopted a full-on grin, he said not much at all; leaning back in his chair and looking at her intently. "Well, Miss Grayson," he mocked. "You really do inspire me." he said, smiling wryly as he nudged her with his elbow. "...You filthy slut."

"Mister Blackwell! Miss Grayson!" came Stephanie's voice once more, more angrily this time. "What have I told you two? Mind your language or you'll be in detention."

Freddie simply rolled his eyes before smirking at Mari. Every fibre of him wanted to utter an expletive-ridden mock apology; it was like a rebellious flame burned within him that was only fuelled by threats of discipline. But no, not in this class. After all, this is one of the few classes Freddie actually wanted to be in. When the production started and he began his role as Macbeth, he'd finally have something to focus on that he could enjoy. Yes, as much as Freddie saw himself as a figure of integrity, he also liked to think of himself as rather intelligent. He knew where to draw the line in his favour, that much was certain. And so, he reluctantly remained silent.

"Say, fuckface," he said to Mari, before realising his mistake and shooting Stephanie a quick glance. She seemed to be affording them selective deafness. "I have a bunch of veg I need to use up," he said. "You know what I'm like, I always buy way more than I need. Do you wanna come over for a stirfry tonight?" he asked casually. After all, it wasn't such a ridiculous idea: Mari and Freddie often ate together, partly because of their meat-free diets but also just because they sometimes liked to eat away from the rest of the student body. They were grateful for the private kitchens in the dormitories; Freddie's food was definitely a damn sight better than the vegetarian options offered in the mess hall.

"Stirfry sounds damn tasty." Mari said, the imaginary smell of Freddie's cooking already wafting into her nostrils as she leaned back on her chair. The front feet leaving the ground before being a shot a quick glare for Stephanie prompting Mari to allow the chair to drop but holding her self in the semi-reclined position through her ability to defy gravity's laws. "Maybe we can check out that new reboot of the O.C.? Y'know, cause there's nothing new under the fuckin'" She hushed her tone with a sly wink. "Sun."

Looking around as the classroom began to fill up, Mari turned her face towards the window staring outside as the warmth of the sun shine began to fill her skin. Shrugging her jacket off, Mari felt the warmth wash over her skin as she sat in her tank top while Stephanie moved to the front podium of the classroom. Despite what Daddy dearest had sad the Spoiler was like in her youth, she was rather prompt now as the bell sounded across campus urging any stragglers to hurry to their classes.

"Alright class, before we begin are we missing anyone today?" Miss Brown asked surveying the gathered group.

For some reason, Rick decided to watch the events as they unfolded. The first doppelganger had proceeded to scream, before he snapped his own neck, much to Rick's discomfort. He slumped there for a moment, before snapping his neck back into place, and changing. In his place was another male, 5'7", brown hair, scowl on his face. Rick could just make out what he was saying.

"Fuck you, bitch. And fuck everything about you. Fucker."

This only confused Rick more. What had the 2nd doppelganger done to this shapeshifter that made him mad? If anyone was in the wrong, it was him. He continued to ponder this as the shapeshifter stormed out, towards the sound of screaming.

However, Rick hadn't heard the screaming. Or the kerfuffle of the people evacuating. He'd been too busy thinking, and eating, and staring at the same damn table. He wanted to understand. To know things. To blend in.

To be human.

So there Rick was, staring at the only other two people left in the cafeteria, feeling sorry for himself. And at that moment, Rick felt something, a feeling he was unbeknownst to up until that point. A feeling indicated by the tear rolling down his cheek.

Sadness.

Jack looked over at Jason as he talked"It would have died for a noble cause. Either way you should have seen what I did to some dolphin hunters a few months back, I tossed a giant stinging jellyfish at them and let's just say that it was a very painful lesson for them" Jack laughed at that idea. "Still I mean jellyfish deserve better." He said as that Jason guy left. He seemed like a decent sort. Maybe they could be friends. Time would only tell if they would be.

Jack then focused on Fen for now. He was still proud of himself for that on the spot nickname. Usually he would write them out for days to get the right name. Except this time he did it rather quickly. It was nice that he could finally do it. Now came the tricky part. "What are you willing to give me?" Fen asked as Jack suddenly got a bit of a smirk on his face. "I was thinking dinner? Maybe tonight? Unless that isn't your thing."Jack said basically asking Fen out. He had no idea if that would do anything but it never hurt to try. Jack liked to think that he was bold. It took guts to ask someone out like Fen.

"So, what are you guys planning on doing for Halloween?" Richard asked as Jack turned to look at him. "Either of you going to the dance?" Jack smiled at the guy. "I plan on being the world's first masked hero." He said being purposefully vague. He didn't want to spoil his costume just yet. He had taken awhile to make it. "It is going to be a great party..." He said before trailing off. It was then he noticed the only other person in the room. The guy appeared to be crying or sad at least.

Jack walked over and grabbed the guy's hand. He hated when people were sad. Jack basically pulled the guy over to the rest of the group. He looked at the guy quickly. "Rick right? Your name I mean." Jack said trying to get the other guy to talk. He knew not to press the issue of making him talk.

Before he knew it, Rick was being taken by the hand, and pulled over to the table he was staring at.

"Rick right? Your name I mean."

Rick looked to the source of the voice - the same guy who'd pulled him over to the group.

"Um, I-I-" He stammered. Taking a deep breath, Rick remembered everything Barry had told him. He could almost hear his father's voice in his head. Calm, Rick. Collect yourself. Breathe.

Rick did just that.

"Yeah, I'm Rick. Uh... hi...?"

He tried not to show discomfort, as he thought it might make the others guilty. But he wasn't used to this at all. Socialising wasn't something he was expecting to do so early - he'd only been alive for seven months. Still, he thought, Maybe it's time to start?

It was then he realised he'd been staring into space again.

"Sorry. I'm just... caught up on some things."

Kyle Lancaster

Kyle gulped in a deep breath as everything started spinning. He tried to force himself to calm down, because panicking was not a best solution. In fact, with his powers it only made things worse. Unfortunately for Kyle that was the exact moment the most hated person on campus grabbed a fist full of his leather jacket and threw him on the ground.

Kyle cried out in surprise, and pain, as he hit the ground hard. He tried to get away but the Martian planted his foot on his chest. Kyle squirmed, grabbing at the boot.

You have a grand total of three seconds to explain what the hell is going on before I break your nose and knock you out cold.
FacePunch

Kyle froze at the Martian's words. All thoughts of being able to hurt other people with skin to skin contact flew out of his head. Kyle's mouth opened and closed, yet nothing came out. The three seconds would have come and gone and chances were that Kyle would have ended up out cold had it not been for someone else's intervention.

"Stand down, S'tann. Before I make you. He's clearly scared out of his mind."
King Kindred

Still, before events could spiral out of control even more, another voice added itself to the mix. There was more yelling after that. Kyle thought he heard someone mention killing, but he really hoped it was in the context of: Don't kill anyone.

Then there was a loud booming voice, far louder than the rest. "What the Hell is going on here?! The bell for class rang two fu--" The man's voice cut off then started again. "Two minutes ago."

Kyle twisted his head around to see Professor Todd forcing his way through the crowd. Never in his whole life had Kyle been so happy to see the dreaded gym teacher. The Professor swept one gaze over everyone before he started barking orders.

"Get to class, now!" Professor Todd pinned a few students with his gaze. They stopped hesitating and fled. Then he turned his attention back to the main group. "You three, back off each other." He pointed at the Martian and the person whom Kyle could only assume had been the one to tell S'tann off. Kyle wiggled again to check and sure enough, there was another guy there in a superman costume. And another he didn't recognize still standing close by. Kyle wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. The Testosterone might go through the roof.

"S'tann." A new voice interrupted. Kyle tilted his head to see another professor, J'onn J'onzz stand up from checking on Blonde hair girl. "You can let the boy go."

Kyle missed J'onzz's next words because he was too focused on said girl and even Tanya who was supporting her. It all went to the way side because of the fact that Blondie was alert and okay, ish. Kyle knew what seizures did to people. After his first time he had read almost every medical text book he could get his hands on. There was no way she could have recovered that quickly. Yet, he wasn't one to look a gift horse in the mouth. He'd take pale and shaky over brain damage any day.

Kyle looked hopefully back up at S'tann, or Satan. A very deserving nickname. The dude was terrifying.

Amethyst

"What do you mean you're out of Pumpkin Spice Latte? How can you be out of Pumpkin Spice Latte in October? That doesn't make any sense," the pink haired girl pouted as she damn there caused a scene at the coffee area of the Mess Hall. She was doing her best to be a better person but all that seemed to go out of the window when Amethyst had yet to have her daily caffeine fix. "Well...how long do I have to wait? Class starts soon!"

"You'll have to wait about ten minutes. We just put another batch into the coffee machine so you'll have to wait," the barista said in a monotonous voice, already fed up with the pretentious girl's bullshit.

"Okay then I'll stay right here and wait." Amethyst leaned against the counter and folded her arms which prompted loud groans from the people in line behind her. She really didn't care how long it took. She wanted her coffee and she wasn't going to let people skip in front of her.

"Young lady, there are others who waiting in line. Do you mind letting them go in front of you while you wait?"

"Um, no. I want to be right here monitoring you to make sure its done properly. Two sugars, two creams, and heated at 112 degrees." At that moment you could hear the occasional 'are you serious' and 'is she joking' comments behind her.

"Ma'am it'll be ready shortly. Holding these people up is no necess-" The barista couldn't even finish his sentence before being cut off.

"It is very necessary. Do you see how much of a mess I am without my coffee. I need it immediately." Amethyst wasn't really a mess. Her outfit was pretty on point with nice pink pumps, long slighly curled pink hair that went mid-back, and an expensive Balenciaga bag to match. 95 percent of the time she through her tantrums she was just exaggerating. At that moment she had a flash back of the argument her and her mother had before she came to the school. She didn't want to be like her. And this entitled attitude she was having sure wasn't helping her cause. She sighed and shifted her weight on her legs. "Just give me a regular coffee."

The barista almost looked shocked which was the first sign of emotion he displayed since Amethyst arrived at the counter. He poured her a cup of plain coffee with a few pumps of cream and sugar and handed it to her almost scared. With a loud 'Ugh' she just about snatched it and turned to walk away to her first class. Of course there had to be that smart ass student who had to make a comment as she was leaving.

"Damn what a bitch. Girl needs to get laid or something."

Amethyst stopped immediately and clenched her fist in anger. Without turning around, her eyes were engulfed in a bright pink color and with her free hand, she snapped her fingers. Almost immediately, the bottom of the boy's coffee tray gave out and all the coffee he was holding fell through the bottom. Most if not all of the coffee made its way onto his clothes, scalding his skin upon impact. His screams filled the mess hall as Amethyst turned around to him, her eyes back to normal.

"Damn. That's some awful luck you have," she said smirking before walking away, her heels clicking loudly against the tile floor before going outside to get to her next class.

Jack's sudden proposition for Fen to basically go on a date with him caused Richard to turn away from them rather quickly. That was where Richard was going to go, but he'd just look desperate if he asked now. As he tried to conceal his mild embarrassment, his eyes drifted to see Amethyst as she threw her temper tantrum. Observing her as she shamelessly held up an entire line for her precious pumpkin spiced crap, he sighed and thought," It's people like her that give Magic a bad name."

As the situation over at the coffee station seemed to calm down, with her settling for a normal coffee, Richard felt a spark of hope for humanity. He actually smiled as it looked like she was walking away, only for his face to fall as Amethyst's eyes glowed bright pink, and for a boy near her to suddenly be covered in hot coffee. As the boys scream permeated the room, Richard exclaimed, " Shit!" And ran to try to help him and save him from being too terribly burned.

He approached the boy, and knelled down and said in a hushed tone, "Shh, shh, " As he drew his wand and started to cast a spell," I can't fix the burns that may have already set in, but I can get the coffee out and cool you down," He then jabbed the wand at him and said," Dagaz," causing the coffee to extract itself from his clothes, and pool onto the floor next to him. He then made a swooping motion with his wand and said," Fuar." Which would bring the boy's skin and clothes down to a cool temperature that would hopefully help treat the wounds. He then took the whimpering boy's hand, and helped him up," There we go, nice and easy." He said gently," Now, go and run off to the nurse, you'll want something to help treat any burns that have already set in, ok?" He then let him go, at which point the boy nodded, and ran off. Richard huffed, and placed his wand away in his bag.

Richard then turned towards the door, and ran out, intent on reprimanding Amethyst. As he made his way out the building, he saw her and caught up," Hey, Witchy bitch," He started coldly," Would you mind not tarnishing the name of us magic users? What the hell were you thinking?" He asked, his voice now vehement as he crossed his arms and cut her off by standing in front of her," If I wasn't there to clean up your mess, that boy could've been very badly burned." He scowled at her, and bawled up his fists in frustration.

RICK ALLEN Star City; Corrigan School for
Advanced Learning and Development

Rick didn't have time to let the other students speak, let alone listen to them, as he heard a kerfuffle at the coffee corner. He groaned as he turned his head to see Amethyst - his dreaded niece - having her usual bitch about pumpkin spice latte. Though his glare softened a bit as she walked away, with a regular coffee. But, as always, there had to be a twist. He groaned again when he saw Amethyst's eyes start to glow pink, and the tray of a boy near her completely collapse. One of the students at the table rushed off to take care of the situation, with Rick simply staring and watching. That seemed to have become a habit.

But he immediately set into motion as said student ran out of the door, after Amethyst.

"Sorry, I've got to go."

He sped out, leaving his signature gold-and-white trail behind him, spotting Amethyst being confronted by the student. He went back to normal speed (for once!) and ran over, just in time to hear the bastard starting on his poor niece.

"Hey, witchy bitch, would you mind not tarnishing the name of us magic users? What the hell were you thinking?" By now the boy had blocked her path. "If I wasn't there to clean up your mess, that boy could've been very badly burned."

Rick now decided to get in the prick's face, mirroring what he was doing to Amethyst.

"Hey, do you mind backing off? That's my niece you're talking to. If she's in the wrong, let me know, and I'll deal with it."

He got ready for trouble.

Amethyst

Who did that guy think he was anyway? Those comments he made were totally out of line and he deserved what came to him. Amethyst continued to give herself a pep talk, reassuring herself that what she did was the correct course of action. It was pure self-defense even though the boy hadn't attacked her physically at all. But words like that to a woman should no go unpunished and if it made her look bad, then so be it. She was used to looking like the bad guy ever since she got to this school. Even if she didn't have a pretentious attitude, people would have judged her anyway because of who her mother was. People had a bad habit of not getting to know someone before they judge them. So Amethyst had to immediately put up a wall and push people away to hide from her own insecurities. She would rather people hate her than think she was weak. But as of lately, she was tired of always being rude. This isn't what she wanted to be for the rest of her life.

Amethyst was walking at a brisk pace to get to her class on time when she heard someone shouting at her from behind. She didn't really listen as it was probably a friend of that jerk. Although she did hear the word 'bitch' and immediately started to get angry. She tried to walk faster to prevent herself from hurting someone else when the guy shot in front of her and blocked her path, folding his arms.

"If I wasn't there to clean up your mess, that boy could've been very badly burned."

Amethyst stopped immediately to prevent herself from bumping into the pipsqueak which wasn't an entirely bad idea. Of course it had to be Richard, another goody two-shoes Homo Magi who insisted on spouting boring lectures about the purity of magic and how one should use it. To be honest, she wished she could just sew his mouth shut because she had to time to listen to another lecture.

"I don't want to hear it. He called me a bitch and made an unwarranted sexual comment at me so the asshole got what he deserved. But of course you men always stick together instead of hearing the whole story," she said coldly. Just as the young witch was tearing into the boy, none other than her kin Rick came to her rescue. They weren't exactly happy family but were on okay terms. Technically they weren't even biologically related, but more so play-siblings because of his relationship with the other Flash's.

"Hey, do you mind backing off? That's my niece you're talking to. If she's in the wrong, let me know, and I'll deal with it."

It actually took Amethyst by surprise that Rick was defending her. They normally stayed out of each other's paths. To be honest, it was actually kind of heart warming. She was even more shocked at the fact he wasn't afraid to admit he was related to her. Not that it was much of a secret. There was a time where people didn't know that the famous Wally West had a daughter he never spoke of. Once it came out, it was a very controversial topic throughout the super hero community. There were probably students who knew who her father is because their parents had big mouths. But at this point, she didn't care.

"Thanks. But I can fend for myself," she said to Rick with a more civil tone, much different than how she spoke to Richard whom now she turned her gaze back onto. She outstretched her arm and shoved him out of her way. "Move out of my way loser before I drop a house on you," she said slyly.

Richard didn't take well to being threatened, but didn't like that a speedster had decided to intervene. He frowned, and turned to first talk to him. "Look, Rick is it?" He said, and rubbed the top of his forehead with his thumb and index finger," I get that she's your family, but that doesn't excuse her actions." He said carefully, not wanting to start a fight," What you need to understand is that she not only could injure people, but she's also hurting the image of every other mage at this school." He then added," I want to resolve this with words, not curses."

He was then pushed away by Amethyst, and shifted back as she threated to curse him. He carefully reached for his wand and said," Look, I just need to you to understand that you can't go around and do that to people." He explained," He's a pig if he did what you said, but that's not an excuse for attacking him." He looked over to Rick, hoping that maybe he'd back him up on this, "But I think we both know that you won't understand that, will you?" He asked with gritted teeth. " Because in the end, " He hissed," You're just a petulant child gifted with powers you don't deserve." He nearly growled.

Maybe you could call Richard a vigilante, but if there was one thing that pissed him off more than anything, it was people who abused what they had. This girl had so much potential to do good, but she was stuck hurting people, just like her mother. He stood on his guard, ready to defend himself for standing up for what he knew was right. If there was one thing he wouldn't do though, it was strike first. He hoped it wouldn't come to that, but he had to be ready. "You can walk away and apologize, and we'll be just fine, or this can end in a way that'll make neither of us happy." He said coolly, hoping he could make her see that what she did was wrong.

Rita had spent the early hours before class smoking cigarettes and doing her homework. History paper for Carter Hall. That guy was ancient enough to know most of history. She couldn't cheat but had to do her best to recall his lectures. The paper was on the roman times, such a dull age. Sure, Nero was a party dude, but that was about it. She finished her paper up for the moment, she still wasn't done, but if she kept sitting at her laptop for any longer she'd punch a hole in wall in her dorm.. And probably in the next four rooms, too. She made her way into the mess hall where things were going array. She had her earbuds in, listening to the latest Rolling Stones Album. It blew her mind how those guys were all still alive - making music and touring. They had been big when her grandparents had been young, after all.

Some of the other kids were causing a mess, there were two of that really hot guy - Fenrir? Huh. Things were turning into trouble, but Rita was far too tired to get involved. She got her cup of coffee and meant to head to her English class, she had left the mess hall and was heading towards class not really paying attention to her surroundings - people tended to avoid her since she had bent one of the Jock's Mustang around a tree. Then she felt her someone brush against her, and in the next moment, she found herself on the floor, having a seizure. Someone had arrived and helped her, somehow. It took several minutes for her to stop shaking uncontrollably, she had regained control of her nervous system, her legs felt weak - a feeling she hadn't had for many years. Climbing up, she peered around, sweat running down her face - feeling like she was about to throw up. There was several people around her, some of them were medics and others were just classmates. Once she had opened her eyes, she was asked if she was all right, she agreed and on reflex she said thanks. 'Thank You' were words no one on campus had ever heard from that girl.

"What the fuck happened?!" Rita exclaimed, her voice was shaky as she did, people were helping her up and she asked who it was that had put her on the floor, one of the kids pointed in the general direction Kyle had walked in, she nodded and headed in the same direction, arriving in time to see the Martian step on the boy, and the super-speeding Kryptonian arriving on the scene. Rita walked, her hand still quaking, as she headed towards the scene. She wanted to know what was going on - and one of the three boys involved in this whole mess were going to be turned into a stain on the walls.

But before she could get to any limb splitting and liquefying a booming all to common voice was heard over the area.
Jason Todd had walked in and ordered everyone to get into class, Rita hated the Gym Teacher, with his stupid red leather jacket, white streak in his hair, his high cheeckbones and his absolutely sizzled bo-- Stop it. She shook her head, focusing on the task at hand. She was going to find out what exactly had happened, and someone was getting punched. She walked up to the three boys - the two aliens who were considering fighting each other - and the boy on the ground.

Pointing at Kieran, then at S'Tan, she spoke. "You and you. Fuck off." Then she turned to Kyle with a gaze that could pierce a Kryptonians skin. "You." Her words rang, grabbing the boy by the shirt, pulling him up from the ground, luckily not touching his skin. She made sure he was standing on his feet before she spoke again. "I've been hit with warheads that hurt less than what you did to me. Explain yourself."

RICK ALLEN Star City; Corrigan School for
Advanced Learning and Development

The student didn't show any signs of a fight, but Rick kept his guard up anyway.

"Look, Rick is it?" The guy said. "I get that she's your family, but that doesn't excuse her actions. What you need to understand is that she not only could injure people, but she's also hurting the image of every other mage at this school. I want to resolve this with words, not curses."

Amethyst then proceeded to say to Rick that she could handle herself - a phrase he'd studied rigorously. It was more than likely a lie, from what he'd read. But he didn't have much time to muse about this as Amethyst pushed the student he'd confronted out of the way, threatening him slightly. Rick disliked this, but he had to get this guy to go away.

"Look, I just need to you to understand that you can't go around and do that to people. He's a pig if he did what you said, but that's not an excuse for attacking him. But I think we both know that you won't understand that, will you? Because in the end, you're just a petulant child gifted with powers you don't deserve."

That made Rick snap. He didn't have time to hear what the arrogant prick said afterwards, as he immediately grabbed his shirt with both hands, throwing him into the dirt.

"Say that again, you fucking prick!" There were gold and white sparks in his eyes.

Tanya Liberty Lamont.

With the scene at the blondehaired girl escalating - with S'Tann being a douchebag (as always), and a fight looking like it's about to break out - Tanya decided to dip out. She was fairly unnoticed anyway, so it didn't matter when she slipped through the crowd and raised her hand with a finger outstretched so Kiwi could land on her. She quickly hopped up onto Tanya's shoulder, before the Jamaican girl got out of there fast as possible. Now she was back on her lonesome. She shrugged. Perhaps it was for the best. She heard that class was about to start soon, and she'd hate to be tardy. It was one of Miss Brown's classes. Well, this might be fun.

Tanya rolled her eyes as she realized that she'd have to haul ass back right there. Fortunately, she's the bird of Paradise! She started running - Kiwi flew off her shoulder - and she took a glorious leap up into the air, and her body exploded into a cloud of green flames. She started flying, towards the Academic Quadrangle at speeds few eyes could even keep up with - but then immediately slowed down. She has to wait for Kiwi. Tanya scowled as her extra slow Parrot caught up and flew alongside her.

God damn it.

Even if she's using a small fraction of her true speed, with the gift of flight, getting over there would be easy. She arrived through the front doors, and immediately reverted back to her human form. She landed on the ground and took slow steps as she raised her hand for Kiwi. It was a short trip through the school to reach Brown's class. She took one look, and immediately saw Mari and Freddie. She shrugged, and found her own seat away from them. She'd rather not be a third wheel, and just participate in class. But it was soooooo boring.

Tanya really wished that she had her guitar with her. That'd make this class so much better.

CASEY HARPER

Casey Harper had decided to start his morning with a pleasant scroll around the campus, an activity that the young faerie hadn’t done since back during his first year at the Corrigan School. It was nice to be among the trees, as it gave Casey ample opportunity to think about the important things in life. In this case, who was the most attractive Jonas Brother? Each of the three has something different to bring to the table. Kevin has that loving father thing about him with that kid of his. Joe’s the resident bad boy. Or was anyway. That all changed when Nick stole the show all those years ago, with the hunk of man splashing out on his own. Oh that settled it. Nick was Casey’s favourite. The young faerie smiled at the thought and was about to even marvel aloud as to what a good day this was turning out to be so far. That was when the rain started, causing Casey’s mood to plummet.

The sudden change of weather snapped the pointed eared teen back from his day dream, making him remember that he was actually incredibly exhausted. He sighed loudly in an overly dramatic fashion, running his delicate hands up his face and through his now damp, mint coloured hair, before moving them down and rubbing his bare arms. As he watched the rain begin to drizzle down around him, Casey realized that he probably wasn’t suitably dressed for the current change. Looking down slightly, as he navigated himself under the shade of a large coniferous tree, he took in what he had decided to wear this morning, his mind filling with regret. A green shirt over a white t-shirt, with a pair of denim short shorts just to top it off. He had neglected to put on shoes either, due to his love of the feel of grass between his toes. What a fucking idiot he had been. That was the last time he was trusting the weather report on that blasted news channel.

Deciding that the only thing that could calm him now was coffee, the faerie speedily continued on his way, directing himself towards the Banquet Hall. No…not Banquet Hall. Mess Hall. Oh, humans really did have juvenile names for things.

It didn’t take long for him to arrive at the building, but the journey hadn’t been short enough to stop Casey from getting drenched. Wiping his now slightly muddy feet against the building’s floor, he made his way into the queue at the coffee area. It didn’t take long until he was moving away from the counter with his new bought beverage; a peppermint mocha, with Casey taking a place at an empty table. He gazed around the room as he drank the delicious beverage, intent on spotting someone he knew.

At the sight of Amethyst, Casey gave a quick and a polite smile, only for it to quickly fade after realizing that she hadn’t seen him. Figures! He was about to move his gaze on when she began to angrily argue with the barista. Casey simply watched excitedly, a bemused smile upon his face. This could get interest. Especially since from what he had heard, this girl had quite the temper sometimes! Eventually however, Amethyst ceased her arguing and by the looks of it settled with buying a regular coffee. Casey frowned, disappointed by the lack of action, although little did he know the fun wasn’t about to stop there.

As she moved away, Casey watched as an obscene comment from a passing student caught her attention. Casey’s crafty smile began to creep across his face once more as Amethyst’s eyes changed in colour, resulting in chaos for the other student, whose coffee tray seemed to give way, resulting in the burning hot liquid to fall all over him. Casey let out a short laugh from where he was sat, only for it to die out at the sight of the insufferable wand-waving Richard himself seemed to jump into the action. With a few twirls of his fucking twig, he seemed to save by day by getting rid of the spilt coffee, and saving the student from being scolded. Boring!

What made the situation even better though was that he then went on to confront Amethyst. Twig boy just had to read her her rights, didn’t he? The idiot. Casey watched in glee as a newcomer approached; Rick, and boy did he not look happy with Richard. Could today not get any better?

Casey rose from his seat and crept forward, intent to get a better vantage point so that he could hear better. He watched in bemusement as the trio argued, with Casey’s tempted to give a quick cheer when Rick decided to grab Richard by the shirt. That was when Casey spotted the time however, after noticing another student nearby murmur something about getting to class. Really? Class now? As much as Casey really wanted to see Richard get a pummelling, he really didn’t want to be late for Miss Brown’s class again. Boy, could that women raise her voice when she needed to.

Swearing slightly under his breath, Casey whipped the small specks of whipped cream from his drink of his face, and headed off to class, making sure however to use this situation to his advantage and walk directly past Rick, Richard, and Amethyst. He stopped briefly as he passed them, giving Rick a slight tap on the shoulders.

“Mind breaking that magic stick of his, while you’re at it?” He jested, before carrying on towards the Quadrangle.

★★★★★

"Alright class, before we begin are we missing anyone today?" Miss Brown asked surveying the gathered group. As he spoke, Casey darted into the room, giving the woman a mocking salute as he did so. His feet were now even dirtier than before, despite the fact that the rain had stopped on his way here. A puddle had been the cause for that. A puddle which Casey had angrily swore at in front of a range of students, causing a chorus of laughter.

Having used what was the last of his positive energy for the day in giving Miss Brown that salute, Casey collapsed back into the chair next to Tanya nonchalantly, reaching into his bag for his copy of Macbeth. Luckily for him, they weren’t due to start ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ for a few months now, which filled Casey with a brief amount of joy as he wouldn’t have to endure the jokes about him being the perfect choice for Oberon until then. Playing the King of the Faeries was something that Casey certainly didn’t have an interest in anymore.

"That'd be enough of that." Came the voice of an older man as the sound of cane tapping along the hallway reached the ears of Amethyst, Rick and Richard. The man carrying the cane was a familiar face to both Amethyst and Rick as he came to a stop, leaning on the cane.

"Would you believe that I used to be much faster." Jay Garrick's face broke into a small smile as he motioned towards Rick. "Mr. Allen, if you could put the boy down. I believe the three of you are late to class." Jay said with a motion of his cane. "I hope I can safely assume that everything here will be resolved and let go. It would be a shame for potential team mates to squabble over a difference of opinion." He took a step forward indicating the students should follow him. "Batman and Superman haven't seen eye to eye in their entire careers, but are known for having one of the strongest friendships in the League."

"Now if any of you are lost, I'd be happy to personally escort you to class." Jay said with a smile. "Otherwise you'd best be on your way now."

"HEY!" The sound of Jason Todd's voice overpowered Rita's outburst. "You put him down now." He ordered looking Rita dead in the eye. "You've all been in enough trouble for one morning and the bell has already rung, now get your a-" Jason yelled before J'onn interrupted him.

"Language Mr. Todd." The Martian reminded him as Jason shot him a furiously glare for the interruption.

"Butts!" Jason paused with intent before continuing. "Get your butts to class before we're forced to administer punishments. S'tann, Kieran, Rita, Kyle and Jason, get a move on it!"

As the bell rang the cafeteria began to empty out, any stragglers being ushered to the door as Fenris and Jack were encouraged to leave by one of the teachers who had finished a coffee and was on their way to their own class. Staff began to wipe down the tables, preparing for the next group of students as fresh food was put on the grill.

"You two had best hurry to class. No one likes a hero who shows up late to the scene just like no teacher likes a tardy student." A cleaner teased as he walked by.

FacePunch Death Comes

S'tann scoffed in disgust as he watched Kyle attempt to speak, but offer no excuse or explanation. He brought one of his oversized fists back, prepared to strike the pinned aggressor when Kieran intervened. Ugh. That moronic Kryptonian probably thought he was 'saving' some defenseless kid from the big, bad Martian bully. Or maybe he was just looking for an excuse to brawl. How utterly barbaric. S'tann was doing his job; that's why he was at Corrigan. To learn how to succeed his uncle as Manhunter of Earth. A Manhunter doesn't let criminal scum escape righteous punishment for their misdeeds. It didn't matter if Kyle was 'sorry.' It didn't matter if it was an 'accident.' He could have killed someone! He may not have meant to, but murder is murder. It was criminal negligence at best.

"He also clearly attacked that girl. If I hadn't been around, there's no telling what sort of damage he would have done. He's a danger to everyone around him. I'm taking him in!"

S'taan briefly considered taking up Kieran's challenge and fighting him; show everybody that this Martian meant business. But that wasn't an option, as much as he wanted to. J'onn would kill S'tann. He deplored his nephew's behavior enough as it was, but starting fights with the ward of Superman? I wonder how long the 'my uncle's a professor' excuse would last then? Legacy thought.

The Martian's thoughts were interrupted by the approaching Fishstick and his pleas for diplomacy. Sensible enough, S'tann supposed. Except for one small detail. "He should be scared!" S'tann growled. "Fear the law. Fear me." Okay, so that sounded really cheesy. Even for an alien.

Another voice, louder than all the rest, waded into the situation. Everyone went silent when they realized who was addressing them: Jason Todd. The school's most badass gym teacher. You'd be an idiot not to respect him; this is the guy who died and crawled back from the afterlife. Twice! S'tann could only wonder why he wasted his time teaching physical education and combat classes to a bunch of whinny children when he could be running around the streets of Gotham City, kicking the shit out of guys like the Joker and Mister Freeze. Ah, the life of a vigilante. How so very exciting. No rules. No regulations. No misguided moral compass. Just one guy, his guns and a whole lotta baddies in his way. An intriguing life style for sure. But that was S'tann's destiny. He was to be J'onn J'onzz's legacy. He was to be the Martian Manhunter.

Todd ordered the Martian to let Kyle go. S'tann hesitated for a moment, looking at the boy's terrified visage and at Jason's commanding gaze. He should probably let the kid go. But...They can't just let him walk away, after what he did. It wasn't right.

"S'tann." Martian Boy froze. He knew that deep, guttural accent from anywhere. The boy removed his foot from Kyle's chest at J'onn's request, taking a step towards his uncle. Kyle's hopeful expression made S'tann heart boil. He had to let it go, however. If Uncle J'onn wanted something, S'tann obliged. He was the only one S'tann would listen to without hesitation; because J'onn was in charge. A fact that had been drilled into S'tann's mind from an exceedingly young age. The two Martians looked at one another, their faces emotionless to any onlookers. they appeared to be having some sort of staring contest. In reality, they were telepathically probing one another. Reading the other's emotions, as Martians did back when they populated the red planet.

"You were too aggressive, S'tann." The Manhunter finally said. "Violence begets violence. How many times must I tell you, a Manhunter fights only when they must?" That always pissed S'tann off. "We are the protectors of the innocent, yes. But we are also the vengeance of the fallen." J'onn sighed. "S'tann." He began. "You know as well as I do that Kyle is not a threat to you. Simply read his surface thoughts; he never wished to hurt Miss Rita. You were right to detain him. But you were not right to assault him. We fight when we must, but our objective is to correct their course. Rehabilitation is key to the justice system. Without mercy, we are no better than the criminals. Do you understand?"

"Yes, uncle." Legacy replied. "Excellent. Now get to class. I do not wish to hear of you causing trouble again."

Legacy looked over at Kieran Kent, Kyle Lancaster and the blonde girl whom J'onn had referred to as Rita. His crimson gaze seemed to bore into their souls. Specifically Kyle's. Perhaps he'd been too heavy handed. If Kyle had wished, he could have used his powers on S'tann and defended himself. But he hadn't; it could have been out of fear. Or maybe out of mercy. The motive was unclear to the Martian Boy.

"Culpae poenae par esto." S'tann quoted, before jumping into the air and shooting off into the sky. He flew towards the science and math wing of the Academic Quadrangle. He was late to Nuclear Physics with Martin Stein, which wasn't unusual in and of itself. S'tann was always late to his classes. Except for criminal law with Renee Montoya. He didn't hate that class much at all. During the flight, S'tann contemplated all that had transpired. He wondered how his cousin would have handled things. She probably would've stopped to comfort the kid before taking him out to ice cream. He pondered. Then he would have promised to do better and never leave the dorm without his skin covered up. She might have even asked Ted Kord to make him some sort of non-conductive skin graph that still allowed him the convenience of touch. But not you, S'tann. No. You just had to prove how tough and strong you were! Show everybody how worthy you were of succeeding the great J'onn J'onzz! In the process, you managed to drag yourself even farther away from your destiny. You moron. It should've been simple. Anyone else could'a done it. Arrogant prick. Never do anything right. Why even try? You know you won't succeed. No point in beating around the bush about it.

Kieran Kent

Who did this guy seriously think he was? He was taking him in? Kieran drifted in thought for a second and realized that S'tann kind of reminded him of Cartman from South Park. All he could do now was hear, "Respect my Authorah!" It was possible that things would have started to die down, but then Jason entered the scene and told them to stop fighting and that they could kill each other later. He never understood why someone would tell people to stop fighting when they weren't fighting yet. He believed telling them not to fight would have been better.

Jason's words seemed to cause S'tann to stir up again by claiming that the boy should fear the law and fear him. Kieran had it at that point. He opened his mouth to say something, but that's when his voice shut everyone up. At least for a moment. It was the gym teacher, Jason Todd. The guy was awesome. Just look at that hair. And it wasn't even a dye job. It was actually more of a die job. Kieran would have thought that would have ended things right there, but the victim of the accidental assault decided she didn't very much like having a seizure.

She told both Kieran and S'tann to fuck off. That's not the usual attitude someone would have to the guy who stopped her seizures. He recognized who she was. He didn't know her well or really much at all, but he knew what she could do. He wasn't scared of her, but she was one of the only people here who could hurt him. Really hurt him. Even so he didn't appreciate it that she went right towards the still scared Kyle to antagonize him.

Coach Todd stepped in again and told her to put him down and demanded that everyone get to class before they received punishments. Kieran sighed before eyeing S'tann and J'onn. How could he let him get away with all of the stuff that he did? Even if Kieran wanted to be bad he had both Kara and Connor there to put him right back in his place. Maybe the Manhunter was too soft on family. It would explain a lot. Then again the Boy in Blue could be a softy too.

Kieran then turned to both Rita and Kyle next and said, "I'm glad that you're both okay. This could have ended up a lot worse." He didn't wait for a response, but he did smile. He had to get to class now. He was already late and Kara hated when he was late. He started to walk off towards class, but then remembered that he had Freddie's back. He didn't know if he had homework in there, but if he did he didn't want to be the reason that he missed the chance to turn it in.

He sped off towards the Arts side of the Quadrangle before more or less bursting into Professor Brown's class. "Sorry for interrupting your class. Just dropping this off." He removed the black satchel and headed over to Mari and Freddie before giving it to the latter. He didn't wait for a thank you or anything and immediately left.

It didn't take him long to get to the South Wing and to his class. He knew there was no point in trying to sneak in when your teacher was a Kryptonian so he walked on in and sat down in his seat.

"You know I don't accept tardiness in my class. Even from family. Especially from family." Kara said as she turned to him. She crossed her arms to show that she was disappointed, but it was clear that she wasn't angry with him. At least not today.

"I know, I know. I'm sorry. It's just... I got held up. It won't happen again." He couldn't really promise that, but he learned saying it was the best he could do in situations like this.

"Right... Well, class. Let's get started."
