ハットちゃん "Hat-chan" Where there were teenagers, there would be economic opportunity. That was the lesson that had been drilled into the mind of the teenaged girl known only to her compatriots by the moniker of "Hat-chan" since she had taken her first steps into Academy City. Adolescents, especially those of the student variety, loved to buy things, loved to embrace the best aspects of capitalism and purchase whatever their materialistic desires demanded them to. They had money, so it was obvious that she would be the one providing them with the goods they wanted. So, that was why the short girl was standing in front of the school gates, aviator cap tightly wedged onto her dyed-blonde hair and a large cardboard box filled with random knick-knacks dangling in front of her. A simple sign had been planted into the soft soil next to her, with almost-illegible kanji scrawled all over its white surface. What she was trying to do was rather vague; was it for a fundraiser, or was it some form of advertisement? Nobody knew, but the one thing they could all agree on, was that Hat-chan was trying to sell off everything in the box she was wearing. Said box, of course, containing what appeared to be miles upon miles upon miles of Gekota merchandise. Plushies, mittens, figurines, cellphone straps, underwear ... she had them all! Nobody asked how she had even come into them, or why she was even selling them, but hey, they were cheap!
