Well as @Zero Hex before me mentioned Belzelga would be one thing in melee
and as mentioned in above ramble it would still slow.

as also pointed out by @Zero Hex (should we give him some more recognition?) Nin-Ninja would be close(st) to your description of a bot and I'll be happy to do that but be sure to say if anything else caught your eye.

Nin-Ninja Sounds okay. What about God-Emperor? Would he be too OP? He has melee and range that we are looking for, and no terrain can slow it down.
Another bot I want to look at is Shinsaber, though he lacks ranged weapons, he's based of the Shinsengumi, and makes a very good assassin.

Lastly if none of these interest you, we can go back to Belzelga. :3

Well, to start off, God-Emperor as its usually been portrayed is strong as hell but nothing really would keep it from having that Nerf treatment Belzelga would have to have. as for Shinsaber, not a bad choice indeed. Say if I'm pushing it too much but as far as it would go in terms of lore/story, you'd be the one to get me the parts anyway especially as I don't see anything bad in any of them.

God Emperor is seriously a final boss unit. Like, legit mad scientist, unique megabot levels that you can only ever obtain post-game. There's specific strategies for dealing with the final battle team of 3 of them, because they're that powerful. So is Beast Master/Robo Emperor, which was the final boss of the first Medarot game. The Weapon types, all of them, are either final boss or post-game content and anime plot relevant, not to mention they don't exactly fit into your given idea of "agile melee".

If Belzelga needs story reasons to even justify it being available to the public and is still to be considered powerful, having these out is just grounds for everyone to scour the wiki for whatever extremely high power and unique, plot-relevant units they can find. Why do that when you can seriously hit the random page button on that medarot wiki and run across something cool you hadn't considered. Like this. Headless horseman robot. How great is that.

Shinsaber doesn't lack a ranged weapon, though, its left arm has a rapid fire gun in the games.

God Emperor is a final boss mech. One of the most overpowered in the entire setting. It's also slow as hell, has no melee attacks, and is built entirely around eating a million bullets and oneshotting anything and everything with a ridiculously powerful arsenal of missiles, lasers, and miniature black holes. On top of that, it's virtually unique. Only one encounter has them in most games, and it's usually either the final boss or a postgame fight.

I'm really struggling to see how that profile fits the idea of a fast assassin robot with a mix of ranged and melee attacks.

@Windicator
Just pointing out, God Emperor does actually have a semi-nerfed version called Imagine Kaiser, though it's still a ridiculously powerful postgame medabot. It looks pretty badass, too.

Whitesword is a Samurai. Samurai don't believe in assassinations. I would go with Nin-Ninja or Foxuno. This is partially because I was kinda toying around with a support character that utilized a Whitesword. But if you really want him, I have no problems and will find a way around it.

That's what I thought too for Whitesword, but the game changed Whitesword's class to assasin in their latest games. Plus Shinsengumis were not the most "honorable" samurais. Idc which bot I get, as long as the bot is happy ^^~

True, we can start off with a base, and even work our way to customizing the bot we want~ I like Whitesword, we don't really need the assasination capabillity, although the games depict him to be after. And I quote "His Right was originally a Sword attack in Medarot R and Medarot 4 (Berserk in Medarot R and Strike in Medarot 4), but was changed to Assassin afterwards." So we can give Whitesword assassin potential ;)

I really did not know Imagine Kaiser existed but even that would have to be ran to the ground and make it fire some small-damage fireworks or something if it was to be somewhere near balance but being near balance would make its strengths obsolete, that being raw power.

Don't push yourself.

Edit:
currently loading some old medarot games to use as reference for abilities and medal statistics
and that made me wonder: what generation/game are we basing this on mainly or are we generalizing? (as in terms of what parts do. the latest?)

Edit2: Got medarot 2 Core to work. I should look for translations of the newer ones tho...
Also, this made me nostalgic.

@Windicator Let's go with a Shinsaber base a.k.a whitesword. I can be a kid really wanting a Medarot and I saw on TV the limited edition Shinsabers. Got my money together, and pleaded with mom, to buy the skeleton. The "rare medal" could be one I got from my father, who works for a software company. How about it?

Sure. That should work well for our purposes. Still debating what kind of personality I should throw at ya.

The fact that rare medals are coming up begs the question on if medals work like they do in the anime or the games.

In the anime, rare medals are unique one-of-a-kind evolving super artifacts from a pre-human civilization that allow a medabot to use medaforce and are what every other medal is based off of. Basically all of them are in the hands of the Medabot Corporation and IIRC they're kept in giant isolation tanks in a maximum security vault that only like two people have free access to. They're not something people just have lying around is what I'm saying here.

In the games, rare medals don't exist. Or rather, it's more like regular medals don't exist, since all medabots are capable of using medaforce techs and all medals can evolve as well, thus rendering the concept of a rare medal pointless.

@Prostagma The only reason why @Windicator has a rare metal is because he is Rping solely as a Medarot for my Kid. I understand rare medals can have huge amounts of power, but like we mentioned before, it won't affect this RP. Furthermore, if we were to go along with the anime plot, we can say that my kid's dad's company is Medabot Corporation, hence explaining why the Kid can get a prototype medal.
As of right now @Windicator and I are the only duo bot and kid. Other Rp'ers have chosen to control both Bot and Kid. Therefore, I think we are entitled to a said "rare metal" for the personality effect, more than the power effect.
TL;DR @Prostagma if you are worried of the OPness of the Medabot, don't. The rare medal is for show only. That isn't to say our bot's not strong though ;)

I second this post, if you either come up with better way to get said rare medal (I'm not too fond of "oh a rare medal. That's rare to just stumble on one.) or we just elect to say I can have full personality without one (thus everyone else would probably too.)
As far as with that medal, I could
care less about its type but I'm not planning on any power shenanigans.

Also to weigh on the thing about shinsengumi and samurai debate, It's the medal that makes the bot go, all I care is if I was to have a personality akin to assassin, I'd probably use my body to go with it as I can. Shinsengumi is only the motif for the parts.

I think for your Robot, you don't have to necessarily match the serious assassin personality. I think some goofiness is good :3

Medabots have personalities without rare medals, though. Like Prostagma said, rare medals are just used in the anime to have a batshit plot about robot civilizations, justifying power jumps without the need to change the protagonist medabots' parts around and limiting the use of Medaforce to a plot superattack for coolness reasons. Not to mention "oh my dad works for the corporation so I got the one of a kind, incredibly unique artifact usually locked in max security vaults" would probably get the dad fired and the medal repo'd.

Firstly, what if the kid's dad is involved in the creation of this "rare medal", and those that were involved in the creation got a copy on one each? Also it's a prototype copy, so it can be a house hold jewel much like a grandfather clock etc. Secondly, making it "rare" just means it's unique. It doesn't have to refer to the said "rare metal".
Plot wise, I can patch up any hole that can't make my kid have a rare metal. If it was the case that no kid can get their hands on it, then Ikki shouldn't have been able to get one as well. And so we can justify why we have a rare metal.
Also if you look at the anime you can see that Ikki's Medarot is the ONLY Medarot that seems to act very close to human. Other bots can talk, sure, but none have the rambunctious personality as Ikki's. So my "rare metal" would allow my Medarot to feel as close to human as possible. That's it :P
