After a few paces, the jangling links begin to annoy me and I reach over to hold Roky's hand in mine, reducing the space between our wrists and keeping the links from jangling. If she doesn't like it, I'll find some other way to reduce the annoying links. I walk in silence, wondering what else Vlad had in mind for the day's events. I stop at the door to the gym, taking a couple of deep breaths before stepping through.
