@FantasyChicYeah, IMO the Mental Manipulation is too close to god-modding, and is a bit OP. Maybe if it could easily be blocked by Willpower, like a Jedi Mind Trick? That way you couldn't godmode with it.

Appearance: Brighid has no real form anymore, she exists purely as information. As a ghost in the machine, so to speak. However, she does build bodies or inhabits various pieces of technology to be the primary host of her consciousness. Using her company's nano-technology, though, she frequently uses a body that looks much like an idealized version of herself.



Bio: Brighid started out working in the IT department of Celtech Industries straight out of college. She had worked her way up to a low level manager, basically she had a team of two others that did most of the grunt work for people that had tech problems. Usually of the PEBCAK variety. But that all changed when the meteor came through. The old, geeky and somewhat socially awkward Brighid was no more. Literally. Her body ceased to be and she found herself in the system that she had been attending to for years. In an instant her world became infinitely larger as the world opened itself up to her.

Soon she found herself able to move quickly up the corporate ladder. Her knowledge of programming and the inner workings of computers and ode became an extension of her very being. Then there was the shakeup, the CEO, CFO and COO were all killed in a single attack. The power vacuum gave the perfect opportunity for her sleepless desire to move up. Making arrangements she and two others formed a triumvirate and took over. She became the Chief Technology and Security Officer, Adam White became the CFO, his power gave him an innate understanding of statistics, variables, numbers of all sorts. Probability could become near certainty with his understand. Chief Operations and Marketing was covered by a mysterious woman who started to go by Aphrodite. Her words had become honey that could insinuate their way into everyone's thinking.

Soon the company came to the forefront, hiring the best people and becoming a leader in nanotechnology and programming. From nano-particles to full blown nano-machines able to build and replicate from base materials. This revolution in building has had far reaching effects placing them among the top American Corporations. Though, they have no desire to do a hostile takeover, preferring to make deals and bring people together.

Powers: Brighid is now information. She has many backups of her 'code' though new information will always be missing unless she's been able to update the information. She is highly resistant but not immune to hacking, her speed making it a battle of wills should someone have a power. Corruption, though, triggers a self dissolve and she rebuilds from a stored copy of herself.

As information she can travel through the internet, inhabit nearly any computer system and is highly adapted at moving past security. However, she requires technology to even exist.

Using nano-tech to build a body she can interact with the world in a tangible manner. But, it is only a created body to be used and disposed of as needed. Recently she has taken to a more Steampunk look, a change from her original Cyberpunk look.

This is one option, but I'm open to others. I've been reading a bit about AIs recently so I wanted to do something like that.

Age: 25

Occupation: Hacker Extraordinaire

Appearance: Vi has long, light brown hair with platinum highlights. She has grey eyes with dark, peculiar looking freckles in her iris. She is 5'10'' and weighs 126 lbs. She typically wears t-shirts (usually filled with pop culture references) and jeans with sneakers. She has tattoos of "bytes" on her, in black and red. She also wears light hi-tech looking glasses that allow greater access of her abilities.

Bio: The name "th0rn-r0se" may not seem threatening, but to those in the technology community, it's a name that strikes fear. No one knows who this hacker is until it's too late and their system is bypassed, copied, and wiped, or their information is broadcasted, sold, or distributed.

Vivienne had a complex mind. She was able to do things no normal person could even comprehend, let alone do. She could look at a person and collect their information and secrets, she could access computers from a block away to countries away with a few clicks, she could manipulate a person's thoughts to forget they saw her or remember something she wanted them to. However, ironically, she couldn't remember her past. She knew nothing of her childhood. It was as if her mind was a computer that deleted the files from her birth until she was 21.

The block bothered her and Vi spent most of her life trying to find more about herself. Where did she come from? What did she do before her "awakening"? Was she a person or a machine? She could never feel "normal" despite her having normal human emotions, thoughts, and processes, but it's hard to consider yourself normal when you feel like a computer system for someone else.

Until then, Vi takes the name "th0rn-r0se" and scours the information super highway for her own benefit and the benefit of the highest bidder. Selling her skills to anyone who is willing to pay for it, regardless of a reason, she didn't need one. Becoming the ultimate hacker wasn't easy, and has garnered her many enemies.

Powers:
Data Manipulation - The user can manipulate the binary visible computer information known as data allowing them to collect information about most businesses and organizations and their operations and do amazing things to or inside computers such as hacking and manipulate computer programs. The user can even control the data they collect from living beings, inorganic compounds, and even energies.
Scanner Vision - The user can perform complex visual scans on their environment or creatures around them and determine their intimate properties or detect their presence. They can also diagnose the condition of what they observe and find inconsistencies or errors.
Heads-Up Display - User can create or see a head-up display containing information about the world around them.

Transcendence was a movie where a man is killed and he ends up inside a super computer, and ends up craving more and more power. My abilities to explain movies suck sometimes so for a detailed description: Click me

basically, he became a super computer who could control people with nano particles (which were able to heal massive wounds) so what I'm thinking is maybe she uses nano particles that last a limited amount of time allowing her to see things

OR theres the terminator style way where its like facial recognition. which would probably be the easiest way to do it now that i think about it.

Hmm, I was thinking it might also be like the game Watchdogs where he could hack into the various systems, like cameras and computers, but also see any person's information. I don't think she can control people, because that's why I included the mental manipulation power, but that was too OP, instead she can control the data she gets from people, which is what I am confused on.

The computer part makes sense, I just don't know about the data from people, inorganic compounds, and energies.

From the sound, it would all just be computer data. Inorganic compounds have no data, just what they are. Energy is the same. Maybe they could be read as what they are.

From people, wouldn't that be DNA and controlling that seems out of the plan for the character. So, maybe it's just computers and that data. A technopath. It's a pretty solid trope.
