definitely go more terminator then. The robot had a facial recognition type power where it scanned them (without a light or anything visible to show it happened) and got their information. For the movie it was more so that they could find their targets but yea. In depth description: Click me Im thinking you could use the basic concept of the power and tweak it to fit your character a bit :)

Those are all possible sub-abilities on that site. You don't need to have them all in a character. Just what you think would be interesting and can make the best story.

I mean, on the wiki page it mentions how the one dude from Kingdom Hearts can use data to make duplicates of the other person, and the guy from Infamous can use data to create wings. So maybe it's using data to collect to your own benefit, like creating different things from the data itself in a physical form.

This is frustrating.

"Scanning":The user can scan anything and analyze the data and information that is gathered, including not just technological and digital subjects, but also subjects that are biological, chemical, etc.

those two i got from the same website. They are fairly vague, but the general concept is there.

Edit: the one you just mentioned is "data conversion":The user can convert matter and energy into data, values of qualitative or quantitative variables. They are able to convert entire landscapes of matter into nothing but ones and zeroes to be archived and stored in certain technological spaces or convert living beings into data, essentially rendering them both alive and dead in a technological sense.

I would scale that down a bit though

The other is "Digital Constructs": Users can change data into tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Users who have mastered this ability can use it for almost any situation, creating anything they need.

Last one being "Digital Materialization": The user turns data into solid matter. The user can materialize weapons, food, vehicles, even living beings such as animals or characters from a series on a web video. The user can also gain other powers from cyber space along with information.

That is not the part I am confused on. I got all that, that makes sense. It's using the data and manipulating it from people and energies that I was confused about.

I think what I posted before is what it meant by that, using data and forming it in a physical property like with wings or with copies. I imagine it could also be used for "healing" and such things.

The digital materialization things makes sense in that aspect then

So the last ones i put would be more what you are looking for. Basically, it seems like they take "data" from something technological and construct it into the physical world. So, they could take something from a video game and have it become a physical thing.

Ok, I will update my sheet then. I didn't want her to manipulate anything or anyone like what was suggested. I think what it meant by taking data from something like people or energies, it just meant taking the data and using it in that physical form.

They couldn't just say that though could they?

All right, fixed it. Sorry for being a pain, it just didn't make sense to me. I went the digital construct route as it made more sense with her hacking abilities.

Wanna know something sad? In another game I'm in I have a character that uses nanobots to create different tools and such for her own needs. It's almost the same thing, except Vi uses data in a physical form instead of robots.

I just facepalmed.
