Banha Akiyama

New York, Arcadia-1
[@Absolis]
The sun was high in the sky, clouds drifting into the blue canvas. The eerie silence of the abandoned city was broken by the footsteps of heavy boots hitting tarmac, the mechanical rumble of the Mako tanks trundling at the front of the column, the hum of the gunships up ahead and the occasional messages flowing in and out of the comm. The chatter was mostly mute, something to pass the time in a deserted city. Banha fitted his red and white headband on, tying it on with expertise. He sighed, walking at the front of the Mako, it's turret swinging around whenever they passed an alleyway. His cigarettes didn't last him long enough to alleviate the tension and he didn't have anything to stop the immense boredom of trying to find something to do. It was a problem that affected all of the Yakuza, the silence was almost deafening. The Elcor seemed to be the only ones not effected by the boredom. Their heavy guns bristled on their backs, walking tanks of destruction. They were certainly the weirdest aliens of the bunch as they were almost wiped out by the reapers on their home world of Dekuuna. Not that the Elcor wasn't welcome in the Yakuza, they were the heavy, mobile artillery that any army would want. Some of the more tired members rode on the back of the living tanks, fatigued by the transition from their location to this one. Sivius, the head of the Yakuza R&D group, theorised that the "Transportation" of their group was a possible teleporter malfunction from the Terran vehicles. But some of the Yakuza that fought the Dominion corrected him, stating that they never employed any sort of personal teleporters or teleporters of any kind. The Turian, perplexed by this anomaly, currently sat on the Mako discussing with a Salarian about potential theories. An even more perplexing revelation is that they found other pockets of Yakuza lingering in the city, some groups up to numbers in the 100's! They quickly attached themselves to column, recognising comrades almost instantly. They reported that they've transported from several different places in Anhur but were all transported at the same time. Luckily, they not only brought extra weapons but extra vehicles The Akiyama drummed the Saber in his hands, feeling for the familiar scratches on its originally smooth exterior. They rounded on a corner and saw a most peculiar site. Creatures, cat people more accurately, were scrambling around a foundation of a structure, seemingly building some weird.... thingie. The situation escalated when a group of humanoids teleported in front of them, hugging them! Knowing the human saying "Curiosity killed the cat", he immediately turned around and was almost in time to stop the column. Instead, the Mako driver seemingly ignored his halt and continued driving. With expert efficiency, the Mako turret swung around to face the side street, stopping to check for hostiles. All they found were the Cat people. "Uh, sir?" The driver's megaphone was on full blast, the idiot was broadcasting the question across the whole block! "What are they?" Banha face palmed.
