Name: Alexis Voll Age: 28 Gender: Female Appearance: Long brown hair blue eyes an light skin. Alexis stands about 5 11 is in general just average looking in terms of build and looks. She general keeps her hair braided and wears glasses for reading or building due to poor 'close' vision. Clothing wise she is very 'jeans and t-shirt', though she generally wears pants a size or two to big so she doesn't feel like she's being choked by them. She also has a plain black leather jacket with 'Celestial Being's emblem embroidered on the shoulder that she got as a gift from her brother. However recently she's had a new version of the jacket made, which looks the same save the edition of a purple snake coiled around the Celestial Being emblem Nationality: American Back story: Alexis got her start with Gundam thanks to her brother, Damian, who got introduced to it via the legendary first run of Toonami, with Gundam Wing, 8th MS team and G-Gundam, as well as Gundam SEED later, and kept following it off and on over the years. Damian, while still a fan eventually drifted from it due to life getting in the way and just gave the DVDs he'd gotten for Wing, SEED, 00 and several 'spin offs' like 8th MS team, Stardust Memory and War in the Pocket. She was initially annoyed her brother just dumped at those DVDs on her, being 14 and all, she just tucked them away until one Friday night after getting stood up by her now Ex-Boyfriend who turned out to have been cheating on her with a now Ex-Friend, pulled the back out and binged on them, starting with Gundam 00, expecting little more then mindless explosions. By the following Tuesday she'd burned through everything her brother had given her and started looking for more. Still, while she'd become a fan of the anime, buying and building a Gunpla was something she'd hadn't considered, even after a local mall got a battle system. She'd watch the battles from time to time but felt that Gunpla building and battling weren’t for her. At First. Naturally, curiosity got the better of her and she walked into the hobby shop that specialized in Gundam kits and supplys. Her first reaction to all the kits, many of MS and Gundam she'd never seen before was 'holy crap' in that surprised 'this is really this big?!' way, she wandered the shop a bit before grabbing a plain old HG Zaku II, as she generally had a thing for Zeon MS. The kit turned out to be the first of many, though she usually just went for 'show accurate' rather then any kind of custom build. By the time she was 16 she graduated to battling, just casual matches with the damage set to the lowest setting with friends she'd made with the regulars at the hobby shop, or the occasional shop run local tournament. Her brother encouraged her to take part in a more serious tournament, after seeing one of her more intense battles. She didn't hesitate like before on this though, she did how ever not enter the first tournament to come around though. What she did instead was talk to, and learn more about customization and tuning for higher performance. Plus she had to pick a Gunpla to 'trick out' and get really combat ready. The answer to that present it self fairly quickly. The process she used was simple she'd look over her now, impressive collection of Gunpla and pick the one she liked best. Exia got picked because she had like 5 of them, with a 6th in the form of the then newly released RG Exia, which sat unbuilt in it's box still. With her Gunpla chosen, she still had 2 problems to deal with though. She didn't know what she wanted to do far as customizations went, all official tournaments in her area all conformed to 'World Championship' standards, which meant Model Damage Level A, a setting she'd never fought on. She'd seen others fight on that setting, and even seen the aftermath of those battles. Still she steeled her self for the ass kicking she was about to get and asked if she could join a game with one them. A couple of them teased her a little, the 'fresh meat' joke being tossed around, but they where generally helpful and one in particular, another girl fighter named Rachel offered advice on how to improve her game. Mean while Damian suggested she make Exia a 'sleeper', A 'straight build' looking model hiding a much higher performance level then its looks would imply, Alexis liked this idea, Rachel thought it was underhanded, and she loved it and Alexis set to work building her Exia, field testing it on Level A with her friends, though Exia wasn't ready in time for the first tournament and family issues caused her to miss the one next year so she didn't make her debut till she was 18. She made it all the way to the first round of the Semi Finals before what amounts to bad luck took her out of the tournament her first year, next year she made it to the finals, but lost to an Eypon after a long fight. Alexis took State on her third try but it was a narrow victory. It's been a few years since her first State title, since then she collected a few Regional titles and even made it as far as the top 16 in the country. Though lately she's feeling like she's hit a wall, as she's not sure what else she can do to Exia to get more out of it with out. Which is what lead her to apply, and subsequently get into Nielsen's Academy/Lab. Her time at Nielsen's Labs taught her much. How to be a better builder and fighter to be sure, but also a few more important lessons not taught in a class. After finishing at the Labs Alexis didn't just jump back into the tournament scene though, she took a few years off, partly due to build a new Gunpla, one suitable for for the goal of taking her to the World Stage, and this meant seeking inspiration, which turns out, didn't come easy. The other reason that slowed her return was 'Cassandra'. Alexis's 10 month old daughter, and tending to her really slowed her progress on building, or finishing a Gunpla that would carry her to the World stage. Main Gunpla:
Starlight Radiance Exia Alexis's main Gunpla for any serious competition she enters, and is a good balance of 'where she came from' and 'where she's going' in the sense that is the RG Exia she always used, reborn, after a class mate, Dani Hatashi, destroyed it in a rather brutal battle. Alexis learned a lot from that loss, but it mostly just served to confirm what she'd thought for a while. If she was going to advance at all, she couldn't rely on 'Sleeper Builds' to get her there anymore. As good as she could build them, they offered little to counter some of the more imaginative things people came up with. Starlight Radiance it the result of pretty much everything she's learned to this point, and designed to take full advantage of all the skills shes gained over the 10 or so years she's been battling and building. It's a high performance Gunpla, boasting an impressive balance of Speed, Attack Power, and Defense. Scale: 1/144 Based From: Exia Amazing + Transient Gundam (RP wise it's a heavily modified RG Exia + the Exia Amazing kit) Weapons: 'Moonlight' GN Sword; Based on the 00's GN Sword III and Exia's GN Sword I. The Moonlight GN Sword is the Starlight Radiance's main weapons, being both a ranged weapon, and a melee weapon with the addition of being able to use a GN Ultra Great sword, which is a Beam Saber like attack that is effectively the 'Raiser Sword' and is called 'Moon Splitter' The Gun mode is basicly a supped up Beam Rifle. Nothing to special 'Blue Moon' GN Blade; GN Blade, enhanced with GN particles for extra cutting power, and also has access to the 'Moon Splitter' attack. x2 GN Beam Vulcans; Beam Vulcan/Beam Saber weapon combo mounted in the forearms where the Exia's Vulcans where. 'Star Light' GN Shield; A GN Shield/GN Buster Rifle/GN Blade combination Weapon/Shield. Like other GN Shields it can generate a single direction GN Barrier to block in coming attacks. The barrier is very sturdy, and is capable of taking a direct hit from a Buster Rifle, but the Barrier will give out after that. The 'GN Buster' is fired from the Blade on the front of the shield, as it opens up for the attack. The attack it self as on par with any other Buster Rifle out there. The output can be adjusted to fire a weaker shot, more on the level of the Gun Mode of the Moonlight GN Sword. The GN Blade, is equal to the Blue Moon GN Blade or Moonlight GN Sword, in terms of cutting power, but can't use 'Moon Splitter' Side Note; A full powered Blast from the GN Buster or the GN Barrier breaking will cause both to be un-useable for a little while, the GN Blade will still work as normal and it can still block with the shield. Block will just carry the risk of losing the shield and all it's weapons if broken in this 'depowered state' Special Systems: 'Moon Splitter'; A 'Raiser Sword' like attack that is used by the Moonlight GN Sword and Blue Moon GN Blade. Ether individually or in tandem. 'Stardust Pursuers'; Limited tracking beams. They are discharge from the 'blades' on the back when in 'attack mode' (pointed upward) and will track a target for a few moments before just continuing onward. The maximum number that can be discharge at once is 12 (6 per side) with the attack power of each shot being equal to that of the Beam Rifle mode of Moonlight GN Sword. 'Radiance Drive MK IV'; The whole of the Back unit. Built in GN Drive/GN Drive Booster/Trans AM Booster/Weapon system (Stardust Pursers). Mostly effects the charge cycles of the Moon Splitter, Stardust Pursers, GN Barrier, GN Buster and Trans AM effectiveness. Also adds to the maneuverability with the GN Vents in the 'wings'. Starlight Burst; Trans AM; with a Thematically fitting name. apart from being tweaked to boost all the Gunplas systems by 3 times, it turns the Gold and shiny in stead of red.
Back Up Gunpla;
Viper Gundam Alexis's very first custom build, and one she built at the Nielsen Labs, but didn't actually complete or really 'name' till some time after finishing at the school and going home. It has long since been completed, and named, the name coming from a bit of car trivia surrounding the primary color of the Gunpla. Plum Crazy Purple, which is a color used by Dodge for some of its cars, specifically, the Challenger line as it's Alexis's favorite car, and since 'Gundam Challenger' sound kinda dumb, she went with her second favorite Dodge line, the Viper. Like the car it's named for the Viper is a fast, high performance suit that does not play nice with the 'inexperienced' and can be brutal on the operator if miss handled. This is because its always in 'assimilation' mode. Meaning it will hurt if you screw up in with this suit. This is both its greatest weakness, and it's greatest strength. Because while it does expose Alexis to some harm while battling, it also makes her reaction time almost instant. This coupled with the fact it can out run some suits in Trans-Am, and the full decades worth of combat experience Alexis has, can make this just as, if not more dangerous then her Starlight Radiance. Unlike the Starlight Radiance, the Viper Gundam is the 'embodiment' of Alexis's preferred method of engaging an opponent. She prefers being in close, and while she does enjoy a good 'shoot out' she gets more satisfaction by going into close quarters then anything else. Scale 1/144 Based From: Death Scythe/DS Hell (EW)/Sand Rock Kai (EW)/ Wing Zero (EW)/Altron (TV)/Nu Gundam. Weapons: Head mounted machine cannons. The head vulcans upgraded to be on par with some hand held guns. Specifically the 100 mm NF GMG Type 37 machine gun used by the RX-79(G) Ground Combat Gundam. x2 'Fang' Beam Sabers A pair of Beam Sabers, double the strength of a normal Beam Saber x2 'Great Fang' Heat Shotels Sand Rock Kai (EW)'s main weapon, recolored and upgraded to be just as effective against the different energy barriers out there as it is against armor. Special Systems: “Viper Link” The system that keeps the Gunpla in assimilation mode full time. “Jormungand's Glare” Secondary system in the Viper, the gold area's on the Gunpla flash, then glow once when activated, and the light generated shuts down almost all forms of ranged weapon, even the Viper's own head Vulcans, and forces all effected Gunpla to fight in Melee range. It does not stop or protect against any projectiles or beam shots that have been already fired, and will need to be evaded as per normal. Missiles on the other hand, still, sorta work. They can be fired still, and tracking systems will be unaffected, but they will not be armed, thus won't explode and will not do much damage. Funnels, Bits, Fangs, and all such Remote weapons affected similarly to missiles, ranged bit is disabled, but they can still move around. This is due solely to if Alexis tweaked the system to work on missiles and Funnels, and prevented these from working, it would also kill the propulsion systems on the Gunpla as well. Side Note: Weapons like the GN Sword line and any weapons that have a 'Ranged' and 'Melee' mode, can still be used as a close quarters weapon. Just the gun part stops working, not the whole thing. This also applys to any and all Funnels, Bits, or Fangs with a close range option as well.
