Yeh, the colored attacks were one of my favorite parts of Undertale's combat since it made you think on your feet. N'yeah, increased defense to colored attacks would be useful since they have the potential to do a [i]lot[/i] of damage to people who are caught off guard.
Immunity to them would ruin the physics of various traps and bosses that might be encountered, but its a good idea to play it both safe and smart. Its a good choice of special armor that fits with the character's personality. I like it.
