Personality: Honesty is Ciryn's defining characteristic, and he has never shied away from telling the truth regardless of the consequences. He is still young and, perhaps, a little naive. He likes to believe that there is good to be found in all people, and that his sight will find it. Even when his life is in danger, he is reluctant to use lethal force in subduing opponents. In relationships with others, he is trusting and loyal, leading some to think of him like a puppy. However, those who think they can take advantage of him quickly discover he can spot their ill intent, and once you've broken his trust it is a very difficult thing to acquire again. Tome: Ciryn's tome takes the form of a pair of blue-tinted, half-moon spectacles. They give him the abilities associated with the Greater Power known as True Sight.

Truth of Motion: Ciryn can see the veracity of intent behind an action. This has several uses, for example when dueling this means he can spot a feint, but it is not all powerful, and it does not mean he can see his enemy's next move.
Truth of Emotion: Ciryn can see the aura of emotions that surround a person, but when someone is conflicted it is difficult to read which will most influence their actions.
Truth of Diction: Ciryn can see the veracity of speech, but this is guided by what the speaker believes is true and can be confounded by clever syntax.
Other: When he is practicing his swordsmanship, he doesn't wear his tome. Truth of Motion lowers his guard, and he does not wish to rely on it in a fight.
