I would like to ask about the average galactic year.
Theodorable said The average galactic year (AGY) is about 3,125

3,125 what?

And as another thing, I have yet to receive the stats of the Second Dominion, so I cannot start on the IC as of yet.

Maybe reptilians can have some sort of regenerative bonus in combat?

By the way, what exactly do the various spaceship classes represent, in terms of size/functions?
(Destroyers, Freighters, Light Cruisers, Heavy Cruisers, Battleships and Carriers...)
I'm afraid I'm not entirely sure... XD

(Also sent a few more questions via pm)

I would think this would be left up to us the players. Each of our nations going by their own size standards.

Yeah, but I meant in terms of functions? English isn't my native language and, while I do have a particularly good comprehension of it, I'm almost completely clueless when it comes to ship designations, and have almost no idea what exactly those names signify... XD

Suggestions for other base bonuses for this stage IC:

Mechanoids still spend a point for Survey (because I think every base has to spend at least 1 point for every option), but use only 1 point for the Communicate option.

Mammalians do not need to spend an extra point sending a military escort for the Exploration option.

Insectoids use only 1 point for the Colonize option.

Reptilians use only 1 point for the Growth option.

That seems reasonable! :D
Instead of looking for habitable worlds, surveying mechanoids could instead use that action to look for resource rich environments.

Well, Destroyers seem to be the frontline ship, the smallest and more numerous of the capital ships. Freighters are cargo ships, main purpose being transferring goods and people to one place and another. Light/Heavy Cruisers are the heavy warships of the fleet, the bruisers, and Carriers/Battleships are the largest ships we got, the juggernauts of the fleet.

Hm... Having weaponized ships is kind of an issue in terms of Noir'an culture.

Reason being they don't live in a culture in which the need for weaponized vehicles beyond anti-wildlife exists. I suppose they'd simply be of similar size, but lack the arsenal of other civilizations.

Well, as theo said, it's not a very connected galaxy, our ships follow no other standard then our own.

Also, Cryptiic b teh most awesum person in the histury of evar.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing the same thing with the Srephariin.
Their warship equivalents would essentially be composed of mining and industrial vessels, world ships, satellite colonies and other spacecrafts which can easily be given combat capabilities should the necessity arise, but aren't inherently designed for it. The heavier ones would be those intended for travel through meteor belts, solar flares and other hazardous environments.
And thank you! How wonderfully in character for you to say! ^_^

I wonder how they might interact with the others.

Well, if the Rakik's first contact is with the Athanatos, a deadly first assault from the mammalian race would certainly occur, for there is no room for non-mammalian races in the Athanatos' galaxy. Then the insectoids' resources and industry would be appropriated for the Imperium. Gloriam Imperium Lucis.

I would respond to this threat, but it would be too inefficient for me to do so.

Bah! Such violence upon first contact is unnecessary! For the Aurolians, they play nice, at first, then, they give the Rakik a choice, become one with the empire, freely, or else :P
